Before the story begins, I need to clear up a few things. Think Romeo and Juliet chorus prologue situation, except not really that at all. (Oh, and please listen to my favorite Chopin Nocturne; Op. 55: No. 1 in F minor - - Andante).
Please read this before the story actually begins. This world is really vast and complicated, and the last thing I want is for you all to be confused. I promise this is the only time I'm doing this in this story. The rest of the chapters will be the actual story.
Here are the main characters in the story with some very basic info about them.
Nicoletta Divess- (Endearment and Hatred) She is eighteen from the city Divine in Demetre of the Sollistic empire.
Nicoli Divess- (Liberality and Greed) He is fifteen from the city Divine in Demetre of the Sollistic empire.
Leonidas Soliloguy- (Humility and Pride) He is nineteen from the capital city Soli in Sollis of the Sollistic empire.
Timothee Ownes- (Kindness and Envy) He is sixteen from Pine, Musca in the Sollistic empire.
Emaia Zenri- (Patience and Anger) She is seventeen from Kambrina in Sumbrea of the Kade empire.
Adom Reabe- (Diligence and Sloth) He is nineteen from Tubela in Eagen of the Ieg empire.
Brahmwell Eddle- (Chastity and Lust) He is eighteen from Serene in Adela of the Forren Empire.
Jolie Caprese- (Abstinence and Gluttony) She is sixteen from Pion in Foris of the Forren empire.
Vocabulary to Know
Just to help you a little, will be continuously added to as the story develops
Thrae: This is an alternate version of Earth. (Almost "Earth" backward.) People who live here can be referred to as Thraens. (Almost "Snearth" backward? I find that funny.) Thrae is split into four different empires/regions.
Sollistic Empire- Largest and strongest empire. The empire is ruled by Leonardo Soliloquy under a roughly constitutional monarchy. It is divided into several countries run by smaller monarchies. The empire is appointed by one advisor from each country, usually the king (a system that Emperor Soliloguy's grandfather implemented but not one that the emperor necessarily has to follow). These advisors make up a parliament of sorts for certain decisions that include a majority of the empire (such as war). However, only the strongest countries advisors have any real say in decisions. This leads to poorer countries never improving and rich countries only getting richer.
Forran Empire- This is a constitutional monarchy ruled by Frances Caprese. Even though it's constitutional, the emperor has a large majority of the power. Separated into ten large countries. Each country is ruled by a king or queen, who make very country-specific laws and decisions such as prosecutions and sentences of criminals. This country is covered in many forests, rare woodland creatures, many precious metals, and oil which allow them to have excellent trade with other countries.
Ieg Empire- This is an empire comprised of mostly many small islands. It's an absolute monarchy, however, its current emperor, Jebidiah Xavier, greatly neglects many of the islands. Due to this, many of the islands are in great discourse. The region is home to many exotic materials and fish, which are its main source of income. Currently, there's an uprising which calls for several islands to be removed from the empire since the emperor has neglected to maintain them.
