It was a cold Tuesday night in September. I was walking home alone from a friends house that night. I thought about taking a different route home since I was alone. I dicided to go through the woods.

I began to look for a path but had no luck. I kept looking and I finally found one. As I started to walk down the path I noticed a faint sobbing sound in the distance. I decided to follow it.

After walking for a while I saw her. She had stopped sobbing. If it was her who was making the noise, that is. She just stood there silent and emotionless.

Finally, she let out a little half smile and waved. On her left wrist was a dream catcher braclet.. I asked her what her name was yet still not a word.

She was quite beautiful from what I could tell. She wore flowered leggings, a faded dark pink hoodie and a pair of black boots. Her hair was chessnut brown and she had it in a high side ponytail. She looked to be about 5'4''. She also had bright red lips and black eyeshadow.

I heard a quiet voice that sounded as if it said, "What's your name?" The strange thing is that her mouth never moved. "My name is Max," I replied.

"What a neat name," said the voice. "Thanks," I replied. She still just stood there not moving. I told her that if she wanted, she could come back to my house and get out of those woods. She shook her head.

I told her I was going to leave and that I would be back again tomorrow afternoon after I got out of school. She smiled and nodded, and I started on my way home.
