Steve and I stood looking out a hotel room window. "Alright, what do you see?" I ask the others through the comm. "Standard beat cops. Small station. Quiet street. It's a good target" Wanda responds. "There's an ATM in the south corner which means?" Steve asks. "Cameras" she responds. "Both cross streets are one way" I tell her. "So, compromised escape routes" she says. "Means our guy doesn't care about being seen, he isn't afraid to make a mess on the way out. You see that Range Rover halfway up the block" I say to her. "Yeah, the red one? It's cute" she says. "It's also bulletproof, which means private security, which means more guns, which means more headaches for somebody. Probably us" Natasha's voice comes through the comms.

"You guys know I can move things with my mind, right" Wanda says and I smile. "Looking over your shoulder needs to become second nature" Nat says to her. "Anybody ever tell you you're paranoid" Sam comes through saying. "Not to my face, why? Did you hear anything" Nat says. "Eyes on target, folks" Steve tells them. "This is the best lead we've had on Rumlow in six months. I don't want to lose him" I say to them. "If he sees us coming that won't be a problem. He kind of hates us" Sam says.
Steve and I look out the window, we both see a garbage truck that is ramming it's way through the streets "Sam, see that garbage truck? Tag it" Steve orders. We wait a minute, "that trucks loaded for max weight. And the drivers armed" Sam informs us. "It's a battering ram" Natasha says. "Go now!" I order. "What" Wanda questions. "He's not hitting the police" Steve tells her. Steve and I leave the motel room and take off.
We arrive outside the building and we take out to soldiers attacking us. Steve tosses his shield at them knocking them down as I blast them away. We take them all out, "we should do this more often" I smile at Steve. "Date's just got more exciting" he smiles back at me.
"Body armour,AR 15s, I make 7 hostiles" Steve says to the team. I then hear Sam fly over head and gun fire follows. "I make 5" he says to us. Wanda then flies down and wraps a Agent in her powers "Sam" she says tossing the Agent at Sam who catches the solider and knocks them out. "Four" Sam then says
Sam makes his 'redwing' scan the building as he walks over to Steve and I. "Rumlow's on the third floor" he informs us "Wanda, just like we practiced" I say to her. "What about the gas?" She asks. "Get it out" Steve tells her. She then uses her power to toss Steve up through a window. I use my forcefield and follow him, landing on the floor just as he takes a solider out.
"You need to go back, help Wanda and Sam" he tries to order me. "No, we're together, I'll always be by your side" I say to him. We take off, he tosses his shield at the agents and I send energy blasts. We continue fighting as Wanda gets the gas out. We get to the room we needed and see the people injured and the vial missing. "Rumlow has a biological weapon" Steve tells the team. "I'm on it" Natasha replies. I help the injured workers as best as I can with my powers. I then follow Steve back through the building when we hear gun fire and start to run.
Steve and I make it to a balcony and spot Rumlow aiming a gernade launcher at us. He fires it and before I can get my force field up, Steve grabs me and covers us with his shield. We are thrown back inside the building and crash onto the ground. We manage to get up and Rumlow launches two more gernades at us. Steve grabs me and we are flung from the building. Steve protects me from the fall, and we roll off the truck and onto the ground. I very slowly try to get up. "Sam, he's in an ATV headed north" Steve says
"You okay?" Steve asks me. "Yeah, I'll heal, you go ahead I just need a minute" I say. "Emerald, I'm not leaving for you behind." He says. "Steve, our team needs help. I don't want our relationship put ahead of the the teams" I say. "Okay, but don't be far behind" he says as he runs off. I slowly heal my wounds and take off to help my team.
"I got four, they're splitting up" I hear Sam say. "I got the two on the left" Nat responds. I finally spot Steve running though cars and people. "They ditched their gear. It's a shell game now. One of them has the payload." Steve says to everyone. I get up to him just as a grenade is tossed onto his shield. He manages to throws it in the air and I protect us and the surrounding people. It detonated in the air, and no one is injured. I drop my force field, and suddenly Steve is punched in the back and falls down.
"There you are, you son of a bitch. I've been waiting for this" I hear Rumlow say to Steve. I fire an energy blast at Rumlow and it only knocks him back a little. He gets up and comes at me, I manage to block the hit but the impact knocks me back. I try to get up and see Steve fighting off Rumlow. "Get out!" I shout at the civilians, they all back away scared.
"Payload secure, thanks Sam" I hear Nat say. "Don't thank me" Sam replies. "She's not gonna thank that" I say to Sam as I go to help Steve. I get to the men and watch as they fight one another. Steve finally gets the best of Rumlow. Rumlow falls to his knees and removes his facemask. We see a scarred face, "I think I look pretty good, all things considered"
Steve grabs him, "who's your buyer?" I ask. He doesn't and looks at Steve, "you know, he knew you. Your pal, your buddy, your Bucky" he throws Steve off by saying that. "What did you say?" Steve asks as he loosens a his grip. "He remembered you. I was there. He got all weepy about it. Till they put his brain back in a blender. He wanted you to know something. He said to me, 'please tell Rogers, when you gotta go, you gotta go' and you're coming with me" Rumlow then suddenly activates a switch on his best. Before I can react Wanda appears keeping the explosion contained. Wanda then lifts him into the air but she loses control and the explosion crashes into the nearby building.

Steve and I look in shock, I look at Wanda who has a look of horror upon her face. "Oh..my.. Sam..we..need, fire and rescue. On the the south side of the building. We gotta get up there" Steve orders. "Go, I'll take care of Wanda" I tell Steve and I take Wanda's hand and we leave the scene.
