Chapter 1: In Laikakota Park

.

Maybe you don't know, but once there was a cat that traveled to the past, to the time of the Incas...

.

The Laikakota Park looked very clean and several lights of the public lighting thanks to its spotlights or screens of different colors, gave the whole place a magical and calm atmosphere.

The new attraction was inaugurated, an enormous water mirror, which could reflect the moon and the stars of the sky that shone on the Bolivian altiplano as well as the cities of El Alto and La Paz.

A recent archaeological discovery made it known that in pre"Columbian times, the top of what is now the city park and viewpoint was used as a kind of ancient observatory. That one was of indirect nature since the original inhabitants, saw the lunar cycles as well as the march of the stars and constellations by means of a great water mirror, which saw its existence forgotten with the passing of the centuries. Now, on a moonlit night, the mayor of the city inaugurated the recent water mirror before the media, and the city's neighbors were invited to such a special event.

Several schools attended the event, among them the high school only for ladies of María de Las Santas Cruzadas de Felipe II, and among its many students, one named Clara stood out, whose skin had a healthy shade just like ebony. Such a beautiful young girl carried in her arms not the proper school material to carry, but her pet, a kitty named Millita, who had lived many adventures to clear the name of its owner, but of course, that is another story.

"Gosh, Clara, why did you bring your pet?" Said Matilda, a very tall and gangly girl, friend of the young girl.

"My parents went on loan and I was sorry to leave him alone."

"I like your cat, but the sisters will be angry if they see you with Millita," said Epifanía, the other friend, referring to the strict nuns of the high school.

"I know, but I wanted to show Millita about the inauguration. Don't you think it's strange that in this place there was a lunar and cat religion?"

"What's so strange about that," Matilda asked.

"Well, before the Spaniards, there were no cats in America. How was there a cat religion in this place?"

"Hey, you're right, how strange," said Epifanía and the three friends saw Millita, who had to be put in Clara's backpack as one of the nuns approached.

Once the nun was far away, Clara took out Millita again and just in time as the mayor inaugurated with his speech the water mirror, which was illuminated by several blue lights and then all of them were turned off so that everyone could observe closely the image of the full moon reflected on the liquid surface.

When everyone looked with interest at the water mirror, an unexpected event occurred.

From the bottom of the water mirror, a pale blue light emerged that gradually increased its brilliance until it finally blinded everyone present.

"What is happening?!" Exclaimed Matilda.

"Something is going on! Listen to that," said Epifanía and everyone noticed how a sort of buzzing sound was being heard louder and louder until a loud volume was achieved.

"Girls, we've got to get out of here!" Clara shouted and they all ran to escape from the place, unfortunately everyone thought the same thing, and in a hurry, the young girl released Millita.

A kind of energy dome emerged from the waters and grew at a surprising speed and then disappeared as soon as it came.

"God, what was that? Millita... Where are you Millita? Bonita, where are you?!"

It seemed that she was falling through a kind of magical portal whose interior wall formed a cylinder of blue coloring that here and there presented very long and brief brushstrokes of diverse tonalities that disappeared as fast as they came.

"Meow!"

.

.

She had a pleasant dream in which she drank delicious warm milk from an immense bowl made of aromatic wood, and in the middle of that bowl floated chocolate cookies, which were whispered to Millita to be eaten with pleasure.

"Where is the milk and the cookies?" She thought when her eyes opened and she saw no bowl, but what seemed to be a kind of extensive meadow.

The sun shone high above and the grass shone with a very greenish coloration, which seemed to greet the kitten when a gentle breeze was present in the place.

"Where am I? This is not my home," thought worried Millita, seeing herself alone in that unknown spot.

Suddenly and without warning, in front of Millita appeared a multitude of semitransparent panels that indicated a lot of statistics such as Healt Power (HP), Magic Power (MP), abilities and other things, all of them seemingly increased to the maximum, even hacked with what you saw elevated parameters to absurd levels.

"What are these strange things," thought Millita, because although she was a working kitten, that didn't make her understand what she saw before her eyes because she couldn't read or write, not because she hadn't gone to school, but because animals like her didn't understand things as human as numbers or writing, period.

"Get out of here, you annoying things!" Shouted Millita to the panels asking for various confirmations to activate fabulous powers.

With a blow of her paw as if she wanted to drive away an annoying fly, so Millita hid the panels without benefiting from the innumerable and grandiose powers that were offered to her.

"I have to find Clara, she must be close by."

"Don't worry Clara, I'm going my friend," she said resolutely and ran without realizing that she was actually in the past, a time so remote that it could be considered another world.
