Prologue:
It was stormy the night Bianca and Bree were born. Hailstones fell down in a horrendous downpour from the sky, breaking glass everywhere and shattering the windows of the Foller house. And somewhere, through the downpour, Carrie was about to give birth to not one, but two children. There was no way they would be able to get to the Hospital in time. Carrie had no chance of surviving.
Yet somehow, she did.
And she brought Bianca and Bree Foller, a pair of illegal twins into the already overpopulated world.
One child, that was it. Each married couple could have one child, and one child only. Twins, triplets, and groups of babies were separated and killed. The parents chose one to live, and gave up the rest. Supplies were low and none would be wasted on raising more children than absolutely necessary to continue human survival.
One of these twins was illegal. One of these twins was going to have to die.
The question was, which one?
