Namjoon wasn't much of a morning person. Which was an odd thing to say since he didn't need sleep? The next best thing he could do was close his eyes. Then there were days where the hellhound would make a special potion that allowed him and his brother to "dream." They would shut the curtains, and in the dark of their rooms, they'd close their eyes and let the effects of the potion carry them to a land of wishes and desires.

Why was he even thinking about mornings when it was currently early in the night. Not long ago did he feel a shift in the forest, it seemed to be happy. Welcoming to be exact. But he didn't dwell on it too much, the forest was a strange thing. A thing best left alone.

"Tae! Taehyung!" It was almost dinner time and Namjoon's younger brother still hasn't come down. "Taehyung! Get over here, we're about to have dinner!" It was silent for a while until the sound of fast footfalls was heard from the floor above.

Soon enough a young-looking man was running down the stairs, bright red hair bouncing along with his steps. Namjoon still doesn't know why he even thought of dying his hair such an attention-catching color. But times change he guesses, and so must the people. Plus, he looked good, there really wasn't anything to complain about.

"Umm. The hellhound asked if you can go check the forest out? They said it was important." That was the first thing his brother told him when he reached the bottom of the stairs. "And before you ask, I don't know why!" Namjoon sighed.

They didn't have to do as the hellhound said. But they were very scary. So they already had the upper hand almost immediately. And then there was the fact that they kept them safe, off the radar so that no hunter came after the siblings. There was an old deal mixed in with their blood, a very old deal. The hellhound was their nanny. Raised by the original version of man's best friend, it's always a fun topic to bring up at gatherings (when they had to show up) if it wasn't for the fact that their father was the Alpha. No one would believe them.

"Uh, Tae?" Namjoon's brother turned around from the entry of the dining hall. "Here"—The older of the two tossed the younger a small vile, the liquid was clear. Taehyung caught it, the catch was nice and smooth, and very quick. Perfect in the most unsettling of ways. "They said it would be wearing out soon." Taehyung's lips formed a happy smile.

Taehyung's smile was boxy, only adding to his charm. "Thanks, Namjoonie. Hope you get back soon!" And with that, he left into the dining area. The only reason the hellhound would send Namjoon instead of his brother was that they were dealing with a human. It wasn't like Taeuhyung would hurt anybody, but he tends to get excited around new people and sometimes he forgets people aren't supposed to be hugged very hard. It's only happened once, but for Taehyung once was enough.

"You know I have a name right?" The voice came from Namjoon's left, it was cool, calm, and deep. "Why must you boys insist on calling me that degrading name?" The vampire snorted at the offended tone of the creature.

Turning around Namjoon was met with nothing but thin air. "If you're so offended by the name, why don't you stop us?" There was a gust of wind that fanned over the vampire's face, ruffling his hair slightly, they huffed.

"I'm your nanny, Namjoon, I have a right to punish you." Suddenly there was a puff of deep crimson smoke in front of the tall man it went well with the teasing tone of the thing, the smoke was surrounding a large mass in the shape of an animal. A hellhound. "You know transforming into my human form is always fun..." In the background, the sounds of wolves howling reached Namjoon's well-trained ears. It was impressive how well the forest accepts their nanny, after all, it is from hell.

"What do you want me to do, Nanna?" The creature laughed. Their now visible and human mouth stretched into a fond smile. "I mean that's why you called me, right?" At this point every aspect of their human form was visible. Tall and slender. The slickness of its outfit fitting to a human funeral, dapper coat, and clean dress pants. Except for the missing sleeves and tattered ends of the pants, there were barefoot but it didn't take away from the impressive height of the creature. Its bare arms had hieroglyphs upon hieroglyphs of all sorts of enchantments and spells. Enochian, Wiccan, some alchemy symbols.

"I want you to go into the forest," Namjoon wasn't liking this already, "and give the person this," his nanna handed him a silk bag, Namjoon took it into his hands while pointing an eyebrow at her. "Don't worry, it's snake's tongue—you won't die. If that's what you're worried about." Its smile was all teeth, and before he knew it Namjoon was outside of his home. The front door was open and out poked his nanna's head, "And, could you be a dear and show them the way out! Thanks, love!"

Namjoon sighed, he always did love taking walks.

"Why'd make Namjoon do that for nanna?" Taehyung was cutting up steak, a fork wrapped in pasta was on the plate. "I mean... I wouldn't have gone... but you could've." The nanny had a fond look in it's eyes while it watched Taehyung eat. Remembering the first time the boys had food, other than blood. They were a couple of centuries-old, and it made sure that the food they had was good and plentiful. They ate with so much hunger.

"Because, Taehyung, dear." The young vampire looked up from the cream pasta, wiping the bit of the sauce from the corner of his lip with a napkin. "It's Namjoon who has—needs to see him."

"Him? Do know this person?" Taehyung shoved the fork full of pasta into his mouth.

"No dear, but what I do know is that Namjoon and he will get along very well." There was a determined look in their eyes as they cut their own piece of steak.

"But nanna, I thought Namjoon's blood mate didn't exist?" Nanna looked up from where it was cutting its meat. Taehyung was smarter than what those who knew him gave him credit for. "You said they weren't alive."

"No, what I said was 'They're not alive—'" the vampire across from them looked up from his food, his eyes steadily on the hiund. "Yet".

"So that means..."

So that means..."

"That he's human... OHMYGODHE'SHUMAN!"
