Doc Robbins was standing in the Morgue, waiting for David to arrive with the body from that morning's scene.
In walked Nick, Brass and Ecklie, followed by David pushing the trolley, with the body lying on it covered in a sheet "hi Nick, Jim, Conrad, what? what is it? what's wrong"
Brass stepped up to Robbins and put his hand on Robbins' shoulder "you might not want to do this one Al".
"Why's that Jim?" Robbins asked.
To answer his question Nick stepped forward, unable to speak, as he was trying to hold his tears back and revealed the face of the body on the trolley.
Robbins looked at Grissom's face. He couldn't believe what he was seeing, his best friend lying on a slab...Grissom was dead.
Everyone was quiet.
The silence was deafening.
