Cammy had been missing for days. Sophia and Joe were worrying like crazy and joe had set up another missing persons police report. "Number four," he uttered as he printed out more flyers. Joe felt uncomfortable printing missing persons flyers when one of his best friends but he had no choice. Sophia on the other hand dealt with her sadness and woe by throwing herself into a project, finding the connection between her father and the two bar men.
Sophia had searched for three days before turning to her last resort, asking her uncle Jeff. Her uncle had raised her since she was four years old when her mother had given up. Jeff had been the one that had originally introduced Sophia to her father when she was fourteen. After her father had given her the diary, he never returned and when Sophia questioned his where abouts Jeff made it clear that it was a touchy subject.
"Uncle Jeff?" Sophia spoke quietly while she shut his front door behind her,"are you home?" She heard a grunt from the kitchen and followed the noise until she found Jeff surrounded old poker friends of his. "Sophia? I heard about Cammy, I'm sorry honey," Jeff pulled his niece into a tight embrace,"We'll find her I promise, okay?" Sophia stifled a nod and gave a sad smile. Jeff's friends started to offer their condolences and after a while Jeff pulled out from his poker game to talk to Sophia in private,"uncle Jeff I want to see my dad."
"What? Where did this come from?"
Sophia pulled her dads old diary from her bag and handed it to Jeff."See those boys,"she pointed to the picture of Dean,Sam and Bobby,"I mean, see the younger two? They were in the bar the other day. They're in town and they seem to have a strong connection to dad. I want to find dad so I can ask about them." Jeff's reply was soft but not comforting,"Soph...you know how you haven't seen your father since you were seventeen? Well honey that was eight years ago, something might have happened." Sophia stood puzzled and Jeff's facade broke,"He's dead honey. Your dad, he's gone. I know this is hard but he left you that diary to remember him by. As you know he had a dangerous job and he told me that if he didn't come back to you within 6 months he was gone. Died on the job."
Sophia burst into tears and flung herself into her guardians arms. "You...ca..can't...beeee....ser-ser-serious?!" She muffled into his shirt. "Afraid I am kiddo." Jeff pulled away from Sophia and looked her in the eye,"listen I want to be wrong, I really do. So I'm going to give you his phone number. If he answers then we will meet him, okay?"
'RING RING....RING RING....RING-' "Hello?"
"Hi, is John winchester there?"
"Eh no sorry, this is his son."
"S-son...son....you're his....son?"
"Yes. Why? Who is this?"
"Could you just please pass on a message?"
"He passed eight years ago. Who is this?"
"Eh...sorry...I'm his....daughter Sophia."
"HIS WHAT!"
"His daughter."
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?"
"I'm...I'm Sophia Winchester and I'm telling you I'm Johns daughter now who are you?"
"....I'm Dean Winchester."
"YOUR THE DEAN THATS IN MY DADS BOOK!"
"I don't know what's going on but we have to meet...to prove your the real deal."
