Tap, tap, tap, there I go again
Trying to extract every last drop
I squeeze, agitate and swirl the bottle
I don't care to ever stop.
There is a liquid that I long to drink, yet I waver,
But I drink it despite the risk of falling...
Then I fall into your trap that you set so carefully,
That is when I discover what I had longed for;
For my whole life.
My muscles can not contract,
To undo the chains that now bind them
But do I really want to escape?
And reenter the world and the mayhem?
So I relinquish my preconceived notions,
And that is when I hear your voice,
"Our time together makes perfect sense."
That liquid - so warm and so viscous on my tongue and palate
Drizzled down my gullet, how come it took me so long
To become a willing prisoner under your command?
