(Marshall's POV)
I couldn't believe this castle. The amount of pink and sweets adorning the walls of Prince Gumwad's castle was enough to give me diabetes. I was a bit scared to think about what my room might look like and there was the whole feeding thing... Looking at my wrist it felt almost unreal. This princely twink was my soulmate. How could he be my soulmate? Me the bad child of my parents that never listened to them and would spend hours in the woods just playing my axe instead of training to take the throne was the soulmate of an uppity goody-two-shoes. Although it wasn't like I was complaining. He was sweet and I felt a sort of pull towards him so it almost made sense that he was my soulmate.
"Marshall..." Prince Gumball turned to me. "Yeah?" I asked as I lifted my head to look at him. I hadn't noticed before but I had kept my eyes trained on my shoes as we had walked. "You're room is right here and next to mine. If there is anything to your distaste you may tell the butler and we can change it. I imagine you'll be staying here every now and again so it would only make sense that you're comfortable." He finished as looked at him for a bit before grinning. "Awe Gummy no need to be formal and you don't have to hide that you like me." I said as I hugged him and made a pouty face. He tsked and shook me off of him before sighing.
"Honestly I never thought about meeting my soulmate. I really thought about only taking on the throne by myself or being one of those people who marry somebody who isn't their soulmate. I just want you to know that your attitude and actions are unacceptable but I enjoy having you around... I'm glad I met you." He finished softly.
I smiled I wasn't sure why but him saying that made me somehow happy. Maybe it was because he was the first one to say he appreciated my presence. "Thanks princey. Uhm... actually... no never mind... thank you." I finished looking to my door. I could go a few days without eating. I hoped.
(Gumball's POV)
I could tell there was something Marshall wanted to tell me but I decided to let it rest. It was a tiring day for the both of us and it was probably time for me to check into bed. Walking into my room I threw off all my clothes and slipped into my pink silk robe and looked up at the ceiling. "So he's my soulmate huh?" I said softly to myself and held up my wrist looking at the heart. "Uhm... Your highness Gumball?" Peppermint butler asked. "Oh yes?" I asked as I got up to let him in. "Your guest requests your presence also I have your tea sir." He said as he gestured to his tea cart. "Oh wonderful. I'll make myself a bit more presentable. Tell him I'll be there momentarily and just leave the tea in his room." I replied instantly making sure to care for my posture falling into my princely role. "Yes your highness." He replied bowing before making his way just to the next door to Marshalls. I shut the door and slipped on some slippers before straightening out my hair a bit. I wasn't sure why I was taking this much care to please him I wasn't the type to take these requests which was why peppermint butler had probably seemed so hesitant to tell me thinking I would instantly shoot it down. "Whatever let's stop over thinking this enjoy him." I said breathing deeply before nodding and heading to the vampire next door.
