: samhain is the first witch , and helped form rituals and spells, teaching others the craft, he was so well loved in his time that he had a festival named after him to honor the date of his birth when he / died/ at the hands of his husband , but his essence was so tied into the festival and his fellow witches that he lived on, being reborn an immortal due to their devotion to the rituals that he so loved.
