Fresh Start

Stefani turned her face and met the blue eyes of Bradley who asked to enter. She nodded and followed with her gaze his steps to the armchair beside her.

He held it in her hand and looked into the depths of her eyes, a tear began to wander over Bradley's face. They stood for a time holding hands, their gazes connected, without speaking at all. They didn't have to say, the tears streaming down their faces were enough to feel what the other was feeling. They just needed to look into each other's eyes and the connection was always made.
After a time that seemed an eternity, Bradley broke the silence:

"Are you feeling well? Are you in pain?"

"My heart and my soul ache."

"Oh my love, I'm so sorry! Forgive me! I'm so sorry for everything that happened." Bradley continued to shed tears. He took Stefani's hand and held it with his two hands close to his face.

"I'm sorry too, Brad, I'm terribly sorry. It seems like I'm in a nightmare and I can't wait to wake up."

Bradley got up and laid down on Stefani's side, holding her tight. She only let herself feel Bradley's affection and rested her head on his chest.

"Forgive me, Stef! I've been so immature, forgive me! I was in New York, but I kept thinking about you. I missed you so much, but I could not just call you and say everything was fine. Because it wasn't okay and I couldn't apologize for a call. You deserved more than that and I needed to look into your eyes again."

"I was hurt a lot, Brad. I went through unbearably painful days and I was afraid I could not get better. I panicked and thought the worst. I just wanted that pain to pass. Now I don't feel any more spasms, but the pain I feel in my heart is worse than everything I've ever felt. The pain of losing something I didn't even know I could lose is ripping my chest. I feel an inexplicable void. "

Bradley closed his eyes. To hear Stefani say all those words was horribly painful. He blamed himself so much, how could he ever forgive himself?

"I feel so guilty, Stef! I left you alone all these days. You were suffering with pain and I wasn't there to help you. And losing our baby like that ... we didn't have the opportunity to love that little bit of us. I feel so much. Please forgive me, because I don't know if one day I'll forgive myself."

"Bradley, I can't get over this pain without you."

He moved away from her so he could look into those green eyes and say:

"I'm never going to leave you anymore. You are my soul mate, without you I'm lost in the world. You complete me and I don't want to live a life where you're not on my side. Stefani, I want to prove that I am a man worthy of your love. I want to start a love story with you again, do you accept me in your life again?"

"I don't know what a life without you is, Brad! I love you!"

"I love you so much, Stef! You are the most incredible woman I could ever meet."
Bradley pulled Stefani into a tight embrace and remained so for a long time, until they fell asleep.

Stefani was able to return to her house that afternoon. Her pain had subsided, but she still had to rest.
Unexpected news came out in a newspaper that she had been rushed to a hospital after a severe fibromyalgia crisis. She didn't know how they had had that information, but she thanked God that she was relieved because they did not know or disclose her miscarriage. Her fans were worried about the health of the singer and then she decided to tweet:

"I'm fine. I've had major bouts of pain and I needed to be hospitalized, but now everything's okay. Thanks for the support and kind words, my little monsters. Mommy already comes back with everything."
