After their story telling, Sliver now asks them about something that is.. very out of the blue.

He talks about love, and he introduced them to the one who he has a crush on. And then something unexpected happened.

And also a little bro time.

Normal POV

After 3 days of hanging and getting to know Shadow and Sonic, Sliver has always wondered..do they maybe know about love?

I mean, they've talked from day to night, and by the looks of it, they've known a lot of things, experienced a lot of stuff and hardships. But..what if they don't know..?

Well if they don't, it's okay.

"So..have you guys ever been in..love?" Sliver asked. Which shocked the two.

"Hmm, well I have had a..what's it called sonic?" Shadow looked at his brother, who just smiled.

"Shadow had a puppy crush on a girl named..uhh..oh! Maria!" Sonic recalled.

"That's funny, my mothers name is Maria. But what did she look like?"

Shadow then thought for a minute. "She had long blond hair, big blue eyes, blue clothing. And also the sweetest smile.." Shadow described.

"And..she was a human.." Shadow added. Which shocked sliver a little.

"Weird huh?" Shadow chuckled.

"No no! Not at all! Just a little shocking, that is." Sliver quickly said, feeling a bit guilty for giving off such shock.

"Heh cute, but enough about Maria, why do you want to know about love? Sliver?" Sonic asked him.

"Well I do have a crush on someone..and it's on a boy." Sliver proudly announced.

Sliver was never afraid to do anything in life, so he wasn't afraid to come out to his family. And of course they support him.

"That's very courageous of you Sliver, not many ever liked the same gender in the past, we've noticed that people started liking same genders eventually. And honestly, it's beautiful." Sonic smiled.

"I agree, and not many people support that, guess they just don't want to see someone happy." Shadow agreed.

"Thanks, I'm glad your okay with this." Sliver sighed in relief, feeling glad that they chose to let him be himself.

"Of course. Now may we ask what his name is?" Sonic asked.

"His name is Mephiles."

Mephiles.

Shadows eyes widened. But then quickly realized something. "Did you say Mephiles?"

Sliver looked at him. "Yes, why?"

"Is he a black and blue hedgehog?" Sonic asked. Sliver, now confused as hell, answered.

"How..do you two know what Mephiles looks like?" Sliver was now suspicious, how did they know about him?

"He was a friend of ours as children, very wise and a bit rude. But was also kind-hearted. So he must've made it out alive." Shadow said, which excited and relieved Sonic, but also made Sliver more confused.

"Huh..wait what? I'm confused.." Sliver whispered, and the two nervously laughed.

"Sorry sorry." Sonic apologized.

"But when we were kids, we one time went to a village to help aid others. We met Mephiles who was badly injured, we treated him as best we could and we became friends, but we had to leave a few days later, for we had to aid other villages that Pleonexia destroyed." Sonic explained.

"Oh...well we can go meet him now if you two like!" Sliver suggested.

"Heh then let's hope that he'll remember us." Shadow nodded, and Sonic agreed to the suggestion, and the two went to follow Sliver.

Normal POV

Sliver led them to a place where he and Mephiles usually go to, a quiet place in fact.

He saw black and blue quills, and he called out to the hedgehog. "Mephiles! I want you to meet someone!" Sliver called.

Mephiles heard, and went towards sliver. He stopped and look at the two now familiar hedgehogs. Then he started to speak in different language.

(I'm sorry! I'm bored and I am a big fan of yuri! On ice..so we all know what I'm using! And warning I'm using google translate😭)

"тень?...звуковой?" Mephiles stood still, eying the two.

"да, это было некоторое время." Sonic said, very happy to see his old friend.

"Эй брат." Shadow grinned.

Mephiles Hugged the two tightly, a big smile forming. "это были годы! где вы, ребята, были ?!"Mephiles shouted.

Sliver was now obfuscated, looking at the three, wondering which language they were using, but then it hit him.

Russian! They were speaking Russian!

"мы бродили по миру, and we wanted to visit but when we came, your mom said you moved to another village!" Shadow laughed, finally talking in English since he saw slivers face.

"Didn't she tell you both WHICH village I was moving to?!" Mephiles said.

"Nope, she immediately left, and we tried talking to the other villagers, but either some didn't know you were moving, or they didn't know at all!" Sonic shrugged.

Mephiles laughed. "That sucks! Welp ta-da! Here I am!" Mephiles dramatically strikes a pose, and it made the three laughed.

The two brother talked with their old friend as Sliver looked at them with a smile. Especially since he was staring at Mephiles mostly.

But he still couldn't put his finger on why sonic had that odd familiar comforting touch. And it confused him to the bone.

But for now, he won't think, but once he gets home he's definitely gonna figure it out..somehow

Maybe he'll talk to Morpheus, or oneiros and Donovan. But for now.

Let's just wait and see.
