morning

the light turned on in their room, and cheryl rolled over in her sleep, expecting her arm so fall around veronica but instead it hit the wall, bending her hand backward. she sat up instantly, groaning and shaking her hand to make the pain go away.

"morning, beautiful." a voice said from across the room. still adjusting to the light, cheryl squinted and smiled, seeing a beautiful raven haired princess sitting on a chair with a pile of clothes.

"ugh, why are you up?" cheryl's voice cracked from the lack of sleep. she flopped back down on the bed.

"we have to get to school, dummy." veronica laughed, making her way over to the bed and standing in front of the redhead.

"hey, mind standing a bit over to the left? the light is killing me" cheryl asked tiredly.

"ugh, why do i have to be your beach umbrella? i have a big test today and i want to get there early." veronica complained. cheryl waved her hand to the left, and veronica, reluctantly, obliged and shifted a bit to the left, blocking the light from cheryl's eyes.

"good, that's good, a bit too far to the left but pretty good." veronica rolled her eyes.

"cmon, school starts in an hour and a half. we have to go if we don't want to be late." veronica walked back to her chair, making cheryl immediately shut her eyes as the light hit them again.

"my eyess" she groaned.

"where are my grey sweatpants cher?" veronica asked. seeing as cheryl was confused she added "the ones with the weird stripey pattern that's barely noticeable.". cheryl thought for a second before saying

"i might've taken them the other day, maybe it's in my drawer?" veronica opened her drawer and looked for the pants.

"can't see them. are you sure there aren't any other places you could've left them?" cheryl tried to look back through her memories, but she never remembered exactly what she was wearing each day. unless it was a really good outfit. then she remembered.

"no, i have no idea. just look around the room i guess." veronica, exasperated, searched the room for her grey sweatpants.

"cher, can you get up and help me find them?" she asked.

"noooo. i canttt. i'm too... weakk..." cheryl faked dying and made many *convincing* death noises.

"here, i'll help you up, take my hand." veronica reached out her hand, and cheryl took it. "three...two...one...up you go!" veronica attempted to pull cheryl up but cheryl just pulled back and veronica fell next to her on the bed. cheryl kissed her, veronica tried to break it, failing miserably. "cheryl... i have to...find-" but she gave up (way faster than she would've if she didn't want to stay mind you) and melted into the kiss. cheryl wrapped her arms around her girlfriend, trapping her. "cher, you know i love you..." but cheryl rolled her eyes and said

"give me one good reason to leave." veronica sighed.

"education". cheryl's lips formed an o and pouted.

"nooo you're too good at this! i was trying to prove a point and you ruined it" veronica laughed and kissed her.

"i try." cheryl pouted.

"unfair. all i want is some quality time with you." veronica smiled, sitting up.

"later." cheryl reached her hands up to pull veronica back to bed, but they just fell back down.

"please?" she made puppy dog eyes and veronica had to look away so she wasn't tempted. she stood up, pulling the covers back. she took one more look around the room before she laid her eyes on something.

"cheryl." she said, exasperated.

"what" veronica pointed to her legs.

"those are my grey pants you're wearing!"
