Chapter 4: Rose
"And tell me Miller, why the hell should I care about it?" God, this boy is certainly getting on my nerves.
This guy just seems so weird. Why is he here? Is he a snitch? If he is a snitch I will kick his ass.
"Well, umm I don't know I just thought you should know. I really also have no idea what I'm doing here. If Coach hears about me skipping I'm a dead man, but can I at least know your name?"
Miller. Coach. That's right! He was the famous soccer kid. The star payer of the school's soccer team. No wonder I thought I knew the guy, his face is on the school's newspaper like every week.
Why does he keep looking at me like that, it's like his green eyes want to pierce through my soul. Shit! I must be starring. Again? What is wrong with me?
"I'm Rose, and I'm not new you idiot, I've been here since ninth grade." trying not to look into his eyes so I don't start starring again. I have no idea why Nate Miller, Mr. Soccer Captian, wants to talk to me.
"Hey, I'm sorry. I just...I saw today and well I guess I wanted to say hi?" He did this smirk, where he squinted those green eyes as if they could be looking at me more intensely as they already were.
"Well, you said 'Hi' so you can leave know." I roll my eyes so that he can clearly see that I'm pretty much over this conversation and that he should really go.
I thought today being the start of the senior year was going to be good and all that, but instead I'm skipping and waiting for Logan who has taken up more than 20 minutes and Nate Miller is now suddenly talking to me.
Chapter 5: Nate
She rolled her eyes at me, telling me that this conversation was pretty much over. I had caught her staring at me a couple of times, I guess she was just trying to figure out why I was talking to her. When she talks her eyebrows get scrunched, making her blue eyes seem a little grey. I want to get closer to see if they really are that blue. Her eyes are stunning. Wait. Now I'm starring.
She just told me to leave but I definitely don't want to. I want to talk to her more. I need to, I can't just go and forget about her. She still hasn't told me why she is skipping. I mean, she kindly told me to fuck off but that wasn't happening anytime soon.
"You still haven't told me why you're out here." I really wanted to know what was this girl's problem that she just needed to get out of here.
I can sense that she feels uncomfortable whenever I try to make eye contact with her.
When she's about to answer me, all I can hear is the engine of an old rusted red pick up truck that looks like complete shit. The guy driving the car was an older guy, you could tell by the several neck tattoos. She sees that the car is coming right up to where we were and immediately tenses up. I this guy trouble? But then I just see her smile, why is she smiling at that prick?
"Logan! You douchebag! What took you so long?"
"Sorry, Rosie, had to deliver something first." Did he just say 'Rosie'? Yup, he definitely is a prick. He looked over at me, his face turned stiff and said,
"Whose the guy, Rosie?"
"Um.. him, He's no one. Don't worry about him. Let's just go."
"Ouch. I'm not 'no one.' I'm Nate Miller, her friend. When I said that, she laughed. So hard. She rolled her eyes at me, again and I loved it. But then Rose or might I say 'Rosie' was getting on Logan's truck, not being with me and not talking with me, left me wanting her and talking to her.
Fuck! The universe just loves to fuck me over.
***HI GUYS!! I'm sorry I haven't been uploading lately, inspiration has not struck me in a long time. I merged chapters 4 and 5 because I felt like chapter 4 was just too short. I really really want to keep this book going, so bear with me.
