"Bye Mrs.Park , see you tomorrow." I waved as I began walking out of her office. I checked my watch. I got twenty minutes to be on the highway.

"Bye sweetheart. And tell that little baby I said hi!" She replied.

I nodded as I quickly closed the door. Rushing past my coworkers.

"What's the hurry babe ?" Jimin asked.

Jimin is one of my closest friends. I met him when I first started working at Park's Style Place as his mother's personal assistant. When I first was hired , Mrs.Park introduced me to him and made sure he helped me get adjusted to the place. It's coming on three years since I've been friends with him.

"I have to pick up Maeleen from dance. You know how she gets when I don't pick her up on time." You sighed. She hates when I'm late because she says she's always tired after dance and she wants nothing more than to be in bed.

Maeleen is my sassy five year old. I had her when I was nineteen years old. Even though I had her my junior year of college that resulted from a one night stand, she's the best thing that happened to me.

"Tell my little princess uncle Chimmy misses her." He says pouting.

"You know she don't play that ' I miss you ' stuff ! You need to come see her."

She hates when people say they miss her. If they miss her , why can't they just come and visit her ?

"I will." He sighs," just tell her I'm busy."

I roll my eyes." Alright , well I gotta go now."

On my way to the dance studio , I stopped by the pizza place to get a small pepperoni pizza. I know she won't be too upset if we have her favorite for dinner.

"Mommy mommy! Your late." Her small voice calls out.

"I'm sorry Mae. I was talking to uncle Chimmy. He says he's gonna come and see you soon." I reply helping her fix her jacket, it was nearing winter and I didn't need her to be sick.

Her eyes light up. "Really?" she ask. She loves her Jimin , or should I say Chimmy? When she was three she didn't know how to say Jimin so she just calls him Chimmy.

"Yup! And mommy got pizza for you baby." I say as I sign her out.

"With pepperoni?." She exclaims.

"Of course princess. You ready to go?" Iask her

"Wait mommy I need to say bye to my friend." She let my hand go and ran towards the back of the room.

The little girl stands with who I assume is her father . They have the same pouty lips and face. Yup. Definitely her father. He makes eye contact with me. I smile as I watch Mae run back over.

"Okay. Now I'm ready!"

"Two or one slice?" I ask her

"Two please!" She says , as she flings her still wet her from the bath.

I put two small slices on her plate and watched her get busy.

"Mommy, next week is Daddy Daughter day at dance. Can I go?" Maeleen asks.

I froze. Daddy Daughter day ? She doesn't have a dad. I hoped she wouldn't ask about him. How was I going to tell her that I moved away from her father once I found out i was    pregnant?

"Um maybe we can ask uncle Jimin to take you." I tell her.

"But I want you to come." She says pouting.

"Maybe if they have a Mommy and Me class then I could go." I say trying to reason with her.

I knew I wasn't mentally prepared to stand in a room full of fathers as my child wonders why she didn't have one.

She sulks over her pizza and it breaks my heart. Her eyes hanging low as she bites into her pizza. Soon enough I give into her.

" I'll see. Okay baby ?"

She smiles as she takes a bite out of her second slice. Mae knows that means yes.

But maybe I wouldn't be the only one with that problem.

Hiii guys so I've finally given up on my other story oof , I just don't have the motivation to write it anymore. I'll come back to it but just not right now. Y'all like the new format lol ? I don't like writing my stories in all lowercase anymore it started to look weird . Please leave feedback and let me know how you feel about this.
