"We're going to go out to eat instead, Ma and Dad are going to my Grandma's house for the night. So it'll just be us three and a friend Daniel invited" Leo announces.
He hasn't mentioned anything about Ludek which I find odd. He always has something to say regarding any male human.
"Daniel has friends?" I ask seriously.
Leo chuckles at my remark, "I know right? I thought we were the only ones who could deal with his chingaderas."
We have been driving for around 10 minutes, the area Leo was heading towards was a big hint as to where we were going to eat. He was heading towards our neighborhood which had a little restaurant near it. It was a really popular place known as El Bombon, a small Mexican place that sold a little bit of everything.
The atmosphere surrounding the small diner reminds me of the countless summer nights we had spent there. Carelessly joking with each other.
Just as Leo parks the car my door opens. Standing there was Daniel whom seemed to be impatient to get us all inside. No doubt his mouth was already watering from the wonderful smells outside.
"Dude calm down! Is your friend even here yet?" Leo snickers his arm resting on top of his car. With amusement I watch as Daniel pouts,
"No he's not. But that's okay! We can still go inside and order you know they take awhile to make the burgers!" He stares at the cook through the window with a dreamy look.
"Dude. You've got issues." I get out of the car following behind Leo who is already making his way towards the entrance.
Daniel slams the car door behind me, "Since when is loving food an issue?" He scowls.
"I'm just messing with you Danny" My body leaning against his. He drapes his long arm around my shoulder, purposely making it making it heavier. A small smile gracing his face as he watches me hunch over under the extra weight.
Upon entering the diner my eyes scan the area in search for Flor, one of the few workers.
"Mi niños! (My kids)"A middle aged women comes bouncing towards us. Her hands gravitating towards Leo's cheeks. Leo's face scrunches up as she pulls his cheeks in different directions, "I haven't seen you around here in ages!" A heavy accent hanging onto each word.
Her attention shifts towards us leaving Leo to massage his now red cheeks. "We were here last week Flor" he grumbles
Flor's thick arms wrap around both of our waist, crushing our sides together. Instantly she pulls away yanking Danny by the arm, "Are you skipping meals mijo? You've gotten skinnier since the last time I saw you!" She says poking at his stomach.
