Chapter 8

Yongguk and you kept quiet throughout the ride but it was not awkward at all. You both communicated with each other through the silence, feeling each other's presence. A couple of times you felt his gaze boring into you from the rear view mirror, as if etching the details of your face into his mind. You hated to admit it but you felt a little conscious.

His serious face looked somewhat intimidating and he knew the effect it had on you while looking at you. The women he slept with always told him how sexy they found his serious face and you could bet that any woman would kill to lay her hands on him. In college, you had heard rumours of Yongguk being ruthless in bed but your mind never wanted to believe it since he was always so kind and sweet to you. But he was definitely popular with girls and slept with a lot of them for sure.

"Hah! What a cocky little fuckboy!" You made a disapproving remark in your mind and rolled your eyes. You averted your gaze away from the rear view mirror to avoid his eyes. You looked down on your sweaty palms and mentally rebuked yourself for feeling so nervous. The soothing music he had played in the car soon calmed your nerves and without realizing you drifted into a deep sleep.

YONGGUK'S POV

My fingers were itching to touch and feel her feathery soft skin again. Her red luscious lips parted as she let out a sigh while she rubbed her palms together. She looked so vulnerable under my unwavering gaze and somehow I found it so satisfying and arousing at the same time. She was again lost in her thoughts  and her eyelids were starting to get heavy.

Her head leaned on my shoulder, even that felt so good. I tenderly kissed her forehead and took in the fresh scent of her shampoo from her hair. I turned the volume of the music down so that she could sleep without feeling disturbed. She was so adorable, I could watch her sleep forever. "Not when you're driving." I reminded myself.

YOUR POV

You were awakened by a soft deep voice whispering your name into your ear. You opened your eyes and saw that it was already getting dark outside. You found yourself leaned on his shoulder and got up immediately.

"Oh I'm so sorry I didn't realize I had been sleeping on your shoulder all this while."

"Don't apologise, y/n. I don't mind that at all. Also, you sleep like a child, haha. Now let's go!"

"Where are we?"

"We're at the beach."

"Beach? Wow!" You rubbed your eyes and yawned softly.

"You won't feel sleepy when you'd see the lanterns there. Come, let's go." He lightly pulled your nose and smiled.

You both walked towards the beach. There weren't a lot of people there. You at once felt very fresh as the cool breeze blew through your hair. You both sat down on the sand not caring about your clothes.

"Oh I feel so much better now! I think I should come here everyday after work."

"I can bring you here everyday but my boss wouldn't like it much if I skipped my work."

"I can come here alone. Why would you skip your work for this?"

"You don't want to come with me?" Yongguk made a sad puppy face.

"What's with you making those puppy faces?"

"Is it working?" He blinked his eyes at you cutely.

"Nope." You laughed.

"Gotcha!"

You rolled your eyes.

"Hey look at those lanterns. Aren't they pretty?"
