I stare at my childhood friend from my place behind the computer screen.
He had made the call yet he looks awkward, confused, hurt and just not himself!
"Fubuki? What's wrong?" I ask.
"Err." he rubs the back of his neck.
"Fubuki? Is this about Shizuka?" Fubuki's cousin Shixzuka died a few years ago, as much as he hides it; I always found it clear to see that something died inside himself when his cousin flatlined.
"What! No! I'm totally accepting bout what happened!" he waves his hands defensively. Something's shining behind the surface.
"Oh?" I cock a peach brow.
"I just wanted to tell you Katie...I'm finally in a relationship."
My eyes widen. I try to hide my dissapointment. Is it bad that I hope it won't last.
"Leave me to be the single pringle." I pout.
"I really think this could be it, Katie." I feel a stab in my heart. He might be kidding. Fubuki was always really over dramatic. I sigh.
Why am I so astounded. Fubuki is FUBUKI! He is handsome, charming, athletic and funny. Any girl would be lucky enough to have him.
I hated watching him go back to Japan. He left in the middle of year ten. He told me though that the family were intending to move back to Japan right after his cousin Shizuka Matsumi died due to a car accident.
"Katie? You okay?" Fubuki asks.
"Oh." I blink, realising I spaced out in front of him. A faint blush stains my cheeks. "Mind if I ask a question?"
"His name's Kaito. You know Kai' right? Remember, the brunet? My roommate."
My jaw drops.
I knew they flirted with eachother but...I didn't know Fubuki was gay!
"I'm...happy for you." I murmur.
"You're not. I know you Katie." Fubuki smiles in his dorky way, half smiles!
"It's just a lot to take in you know." I murmur, not meeting his captivating eyes.
"I know, but you deserve to know Katie! You are my bestest best friend!" Fubuki protests.
"Katie honey!" my mum shouts. "Your ironing is done!"
"Sorry Fubuki. I'll have to get that."
"OI FUBUKI! KAI'S HERE!" Grace holllers.
"He can come up!" Fubuki tells his sister.
"HI GRACE!" I exclaim.
"HI MISS PUNCTUALITY!" Grace chirps.
