If I could tell him how made me smile,
how he made me feel like I was worth the while,

I'd go for days never thinking once,
Words spilling out of me by an ounce.

Memories, flashbacks and flash floods,
Tears of joy and sadness, something in my chest thuds,
It thuds with blood and lies,
"Anything and everything for you, but we'd have to comprise"

my time and effort
the love it was unrequited.

I clung to his words, I sunk into his lies
Like a bee stuck in honey, only to drown in my own sickly sweet highs.

I was to young to realize
that goodbye was just a mize.

grey tick blue tick,
Spaces between a text were bigger than the distance between us, that's when you decided to pick

her over me,
Somewhat of a woman I am yet to be.

More to touch and hold
In this game of gambling, I had to fold.
