Chapter 1: Leaving

I sat at the airport with my earbuds in. Xander just left to go grab some food. He's going back home today. I felt tears run down my cheeks as I saw him walking back. He wrapped his arm around me and I snuggled into his chest.

"I'm not leaving forever."

"It feels like it."

"It's just hard right now. You know that Taylor."

"I know. I wish it wasn't." A lady comes over the intercom and calls his flight. I stand up and hug him tight.

"I'll miss you Xander."

"I'll miss you too. I'll be back for Spring Break!"

"That's 7 weeks away!"

"I know."

"Are you sure that Emma won't let you stay."

"No and I already paid for my flight."

"I'll come with you!"

"Taylor, I'm sorry. I just have to go. I'll be back.

"And until then?"

"I'll call, text, and FaceTime you everyday."

"What if you find someone else."

"My heart is for you and only you Taylor."

"I love you Alexander Richard Westbay!"

"And I love you Taylor Samantha Amendez.

They made a final call for his flight. Before he boarded, he turned back to me and waved goodbye. I felt myself cry harder than I already was. I noticed that I was holding his sweatshirt. I guess that I'm going to have to keep it now. I stood there as his plane took off. This is going to be the hardest 7 weeks of my life. I love you Xander.
