A slowly opened the door to the ice cream shop. The bell rang announcing my presence. I head my boots against the tile floors. I made my way to the corner of the shop. I took the far seat of a two-seat table. I lightly tapped my foot against the ground as I waited. I didn't buy anything. Yet. I reached into my light brown satchel to grab my book. 5 Feet Apart. I wanted to watch the movie, but Emma told me to read the book first.
"Hello Taylor." A raspy voice. I slowly closed my book. A man with a short black beard stood in front of me. His cold, grey eyes looked into mine. A shiver went up my spine. "So wonderful to see you again." He smiled creepily at me. His teeth stained with alcohol that showed in the smell of his breath. I opened my book again trying to find an ounce of confidence in me. He reached across and slide the book out of my grasp. "You'll listen to me when I talk to you! Do you understand me?!" His voice was raised to a yell.
"Can I help you?" I looked at myself in shock that I had said something. But it wasn't my voice. I looked up to see William standing.
"You stay out of this punk!" The anger was transferred from me to William. An employee had now come over.
"Sir, I need you to leave. You're disturbing the other costumers." He turned to me.
"I'm coming for you!" He stomped out and walked into the nearby woods. William sat in the seat across from me.
"Who was that?"
"Nobody."
"It obviously wasn't nobody."
"Nobody you need to know." I put my book back in my satchel. I got up and pushed my chair in.
"I can help."
"No. Goodbye." I didn't wait for a response, I left. I left the ice cream shop right then and there. I drove to Brady's house. Before getting out I called him. He picked up on the second ring.
"Hello?"
"Brady."
"Taylor?"
"Brady, I need help."
"What kind of help?"
"I'm in danger."
"Taylor, calm down."
"Don't tell me to call down!"
"What happened?"
"He's back." My hand was shaking.
"Who?"
"My dad." The phone slipped out of my hand.
"Taylor stay where you are." I picked it up.
"I'm ending this." I hung up the call. I started up the car. I sped down the street. I drove in silence till I got to the house. I walked up the sideway. The door didn't have a lock on it. I lightly pushed it open. I took a small step in. The wood creamer under the pressure of my foot. All the lights were on inside. I stopped in the hall. A picture of Karen and I was on the wall. I felt a tear roll down my cheek at the sight of her smiling face. All the pictures had her smiling.
"Taylor?" I weak voice said. I looked towards the kitchen. My eyes must be messing with me. "You need to leave." I didn't want to. I ran up and hugged her.
"Who's there?" Mr. Amendez came out. "Get to your room." The woman exited. He grabbed my wrist and threw me in a closet. An empty closet. A heard a gun shot. The next thing I knew, everything blacked out.

Sorry this is so short. I wanted to cut out before the next part. Who do you think the women is? What do you think the gun shot was? So many questions! I'll make sure to update soon. Bye 👋
