“Run!” the girl screams, “Bolin, go!” I recognize her, she has appeared in my dreams for the past month, but who is she?
“I can’t leave you!” I tell her but I don’t know what is happening, the dark room we stand in rumbles.
She looks at me, tears filling her eyes “Dammit, just run!”
Kai shakes me awake, I glance out of my window, it’s still dark out.
“Dude, what time is?” I question.
“Four in the morning but Bolin, Great Grandpa Tenzin…” Kai’s voice catches, he tries to finish his sentence but he doesn’t need to. I close my eyes for a moment, trying desperately not to break down and bawl.
“Where’s mom?” I croak.
Kai grimaces “Mom is with the Avatar.”
We find our mother sitting across from some stranger at a meditating pavilion. I can only see their silhouettes in front of the moon light. We come closer my mother faces us with a slight smile, or maybe it’s a smirk, I can’t tell.
“Come here you two, she isn’t going to bite.” My mother says.
I plop down next to my mom and Kai takes a seat next to the stranger. The stranger is freakishly beautiful. She sits there, her hip length, shining; dark hair hangs in her face. Her lips stand out in blood red against her fair, porcelain skin. She glances at me and I see her bright, sapphire blue eyes. I find it hard not to look at her, why does she seem so familiar? She wears a long, black trench coat over a dark red t-shirt, her grey pants fit tightly to her legs, leading down to black leather boots. She pulls her knees to her chest and rests her chin on them.
“I’m Adesine, by the way.” She says, gazing into my eyes.
“Bolin.” Is all I manage to get out.
“So,” Adesine says turning back to my mother, “I will live here, with Kanala as well?”
My mother nods “Yes, and I will train you personally.”
Adesine just nods, “And I can continue with Pro-bending right?”
My mom nods again but says nothing.
“Alright, where am I sleeping then?”
