Sasha's POV

I shiver and pull the blankets closer against my cold body. I look around the boring bedroom to find no one else in here.

Thank god..

I carefully and slowly get out of bed. I groan and I hold my hand up to my neck and find it aching. As I pull my hand down I see the dark bruising beginning to form on my wrists.

I need to cover this up later.

I slide on my slippers and slowly walk into the bathroom. I head to the tub and begin to fill it up with warm water.

As the tub fills I walk over to the sink and look at the mirror that hangs above it. I run my fingers along my face and sigh.

"I look like shit." My hoarse voice mumbles. I brush my teeth and examine my body a little more.

I walk over to the perfectly filled bathtub and smile as I see the small bottle of bubbles. I grab the bottle and pour some into the water. I run my hand through the water for a few seconds before taking all my clothes off and gently getting into the tub.

I let out a sigh of relief as I feel my muscles relax and my body grow comfortable. I slowly allow my body to fully submerge under the water, and I stay there.

For a minute maybe?

Possibly even two?

Or even three?

I wait as long as I possibly can before my body forces me to take a fresh breath of oxygen. I sadly chuckle before resting my head on the rim of the tub.

All I needed was one more minute..

One more, that's all.

Then all of this pain, all of these scars and bruises wouldn't mean anything to me.

One more minute and I'd be happy.

One more minute and I'd be gone..

Maybe I don't feel the tears fall because there's water on my face? Or maybe it's because my body is too numb to feel it?

I roll my head to the side and my gaze lands upon my favorite friend, my best bud. I reach out of the tub and onto the counter for the small blade.

I softly run my fingers over the edges before glancing back down at my arms. I move in slow motion as one hand brings the blade to my skin.

Then the doorbell rings.

I sigh and place the blade down before getting out of the tub and wiping the tears that I once again didn't know had fallen.

I put on a robe and wrap it around myself before heading to the front door. I peeked through the peephole hoping and praying it isn't who I think it is.

A smile unknowingly makes its way across my face as I see my neighbor standing on my porch. I look at the small mirror besides the door and fix my hair up a little before opening the door.

"Hey!" Bayley greets with a bright smile that sends odd feelings all throughout me, good odd feelings.

"Hi." I say and let her into the house.

"Do you want a drink?" I ask and she hums.

"Coffee if you have any." She says and I smile and nod before walking into the kitchen.
