The best thing about tonight's that we're not fighting

Steve sighed and ran a hand through his messy, honey-brown hair.

He didn't want to fight with Sky, but he could feel the vibe moving towards that direction.

Could it be that we have been this way before

They were always like this, at each other's throats-- even though they truly did love each other.

"I'll just go then..." Sky mumbled, turning and walking towards the door."

I know you don't think that I am trying

"No, Sky," He grabbed his wrist, "Don't go."

I know you're wearing thin down to the core

"Steve," He sighed out, "Th-this is just so hard."

"I know." Steve said back.

Because tonight will be the night that I will fall for you

"But it's worth it, for you, Sky." He whispered, hugging him from behind.

Sky let a small smile plaster it's way on to his face.

"Don't go, Sky. Please."

"I need you to stay with me." He mumbled into his back.

Or I won't live to see another day

"I can't live without you."

Sky sighed. "Steve... I love you, but..." He sighed again, squeezing his eyes shut.

Because a girl (*cough*boy*cough*) like you is impossible to find

Steve hugged him tighter. "Please...?"

He buried his face into the back of Sky's hair.

This is not what I intended

"I love you Sky, please don't leave me... Please." He whimpered.

I always swore to you I'd never fall apart

Sky just sighed again and Steve felt tears well up in his eyes. Sky was actually thinking about leaving him this time.

"Please, Sky." He pleaded, tears falling into Sky's hair and on to his neck and shirt.

I may have failed

Sky's eyes widened. "S-Steve are you crying?" He asked in shock.

But I have loved you from the start

Steve nodded slightly. "Please, Sky, don't leave me."

"I'm not going to leave you, Steve."

Steve let out a shaky sigh of relief.

"Good." He whispered against the skin of the back of Sky's neck,

Sky took in a deep breath and Steve felt him relax some.

"Thank you." Steve laughed with small smile.

Steve pulled him around and wrapped his arms around his neck, pushing their foreheads together, which wasn't hard at all because they were the same height.

"Steve I-"

"Shh." Steve shushed him.

"Shush."

Steve let out a content sigh and buried his face into the crook of Sky's neck.
