... Chapter TwentyFive - Taking what's mine!

Chris's P.O.V

I've been waiting on this day forever, I'm finally a free man and I also get to go in front of a judge and tell them how bad of a wife and mother Megan was to both me and CJ. Megan had to fly out to L.A for court because out here is where I filed all my complaints. I just want this whole situation to be over and done with so I can move on with my family.

"Good luck with everything today daddy." Cali spoke as he embraced me into a hug.

"Thank you baby." I kissed her forehead.

"Good luck pops." Cai gave me a hug.

"Thanks son." I kissed baby CJ as Cali held him. "Violet you ready yet?" She was upstairs getting all the paper work and files needed.

"Yeah, let's go." She straightened out her skirt then made her way towards us. "Cali I don't want you leaving this house today, CJ has a fever. Cai, make sure you watch them." She kissed them all.

"No kiss for daddy?" Cali asked her.

Violet's cheek began turning red. "Cali don't you start." Everyone laughed at how she reacted.

"I love you too mama." Cali kissed her cheek.

"We'll see you guys in a few hours, I love you all." She told the kids.

"We love you too." Cai spoke.

After making sure all the kids were good Violet and I left the house making our way to the court house.

Cali's P.O.V

After our parents had left the house I went into the living room to take a seat with CJ, he was becoming real fussy so I placed one of those Madagascar movies in for him to watch.

Cai came to take a seat beside me.

"Do you think Megan has a chance?" I asked him.

"Hell naw, that bitch gone be lucky if she ever see him again."

"But Cai don't you think he would wanna know his mama when he gets older?"

"Let's not talk about that shit right now."

Letting out a sigh of frustration I just sat back looking at how peaceful this baby was.

"Cali we gone be okay." Cai assured me.

"I know." I gave him a small smile.

"I hope so." I whispered to myself.

Hours had passed and both my parents were still not home yet, I began to get worried.

Cai walked into my bedroom. "Cali I'm heading to the trap with Killian, call me if you need anything."

"Didn't mama say that you should watch us."

"Come on man, I'm only gone be out for about an hour."

"Whatever, before you get home can you get me pizza?" I asked him.

"Yeah I got you." He started walking away but stopped. "Shit, I forgot to tell you court got delayed so they not gone be home until after dark."

"That's cool." I went back to feeding CJ his bottle.

After feeding him he began crying, this was the most he's cried since he's been living with us. He's been teething and he has a fever so I knew he would be like this.

"Don't cry my big baby." I began pacing my bedroom floor while gently rocking him back and forth.

I hope he doesn't be like this all night.
