Chapter TwentySeven - Is all of this worth it?

Chapter 27. I don't think I like this one too much since it's so short, I feel as though I'm losing the little touch I have so I'll update another chapter somtime this week and FRIDAY .. Two updates. If you like this chapter don't be afraid to VOTE!

Megan's P.O.V

Looking at the television screen I watched as both CJ and I's face were being displayed.  I had no way to escape this situation I'm in right now. Daquan and I were getting low on money so we had to check our self into a cheap motel, this place was beyond nasty.

I continued watching the television as CJ screamed uncontrollably, he's been crying ever since Quan brought him to me. I watched as Chris, his ex and kids talked about how my baby could be in danger because of me. That shit made me hate them even more.

"I was watching that." I yelled as Daquan shut the television off.

"I don't care, and shut that motherfucker up." He yelled causing CJ to get louder.

I picked up my baby boy slowly trying to rock him to sleep.

"It's okay baby, mama's here." I kissed his soft cheek.

"We gone have to leave this place." He started throwing everything into our suitcases.

"Where we gone go? Our money is almost gone and CJ and I are all over the news."

"Would you shut up! Fuck." He yelled. "Shut that baby up too." He pushed me onto the floor causing CJ to hit his head.

"Why would you do that!" I yelled.

"I told yo' ass to shut him up."

He walked out of the room and into the bathroom leaving me on the floor with CJ crying histerically in my arms.

I'm starting to regret everything I've done.

Chris's P.O.V

After waiting hours and hours I was finally on my way back to the hotel where Megan had been staying, I was hoping the woman who may have seen her leave was working today like her manager had told me. I hopped out of my car and into the hotel. Walking up to the front desk I felt happy for the first time in the last seventy two hours. 

Looking at the woman she greeted me with a welcoming smile, that's a good sign right? "Good morning sir, will you be checking in with us today?"

Looking at the tag on her blouse I smiled.  "Amanda?"

"Yes?" She was confused by the way I blurrted out her name.  

"Can I have a few minutes of your time? I just wanna ask you a few questions." 

She looked around before stepping beside me. 

"I came to talk to you yesterday but your manager had told me you weren't working until today." She still had that confused look on her face. "I know your wondering why I wanna talk to you."

"Ahh yeah."

"Two days ago I was granted full custody of my son, his mother was staying in this same exact hotel and I think she has him."

"So what does any of that have to do with me?" She asked.

"I wanted to know if you had seen her leaving here with anyone." I showed her a picture of both CJ and Megan.

I watched as she looked over both pictures carefully examining them.

"I'm sorry but I don't remember seeing this woman."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive." She walked back hehind her desk. "I'm sorry I couldn't help."

Placing my hands over my face I got frustrated all over again, it's like nothings going good for me at this point.

 "Thank you." I place both pictures into my pants pocket then made my way out and into my car, I wasn't giving up just yet.

Cali's P.O.V

"Did they find him?" I quickly sat up as I watched both Cai and Killian walk into my room.

Cai signed. "Naw, no one seen Megan either."

"I think she got him." Killian told us as he took a seat. "CJ goes missing and now no one know's where Megan is? Come on man."

"I think your right." I agreed. "But where could she be hiding?"

"Megan's not smart enough to pull some dumb shit like this, I'm sure someone's helping her." My dad spoke as him and my mama entered the room. 

"Hi daddy." They both gave me a kiss on my cheek. "Hey mama."

"How you feeling baby?" She asked, everyone looked so drained and tired.

"I'm feeling better, my head still hurt's a little but I'm fine."

"Good." 

"It's been almost three days, where the hell could she possibly be?" I asked. "CJ's still sick, remember? We have to find him before something happens."

I was tired, I couldn't take this anymore. 

"We gone find him baby." My dad came over and held onto my hand.

"Did the lady from the hotel see Megan?"

He sighed. "No babygirl, she didn't." I sat up trying to get out of bed. "Where you going?" My dad stopped me from getting up.

"To find CJ daddy, I can't just sit around all day not being able to help."

"You not leaving this room, so don't even think about it." He kissed my forehead then stood to his feet. "Me and your mother are gonna head over to the police station to see if they have any leads."

I gave them both hugs then watched as they left the room. 

"You gone be good?" Cai asked as both him and Killian stood to thier feet. 

"You two leaving me?"

"We gotta go handle some business."

I looked over at Killian. "Business?" 

"Yeah." Cai walked over to me. "Don't leave this room Cali, I'm not playing with you." He kissed my forehead. 

"Whatever." I layed my head onto a pillow slowly closing my eyes.

Waking up and looking over at the clock provided I saw that it was a little after six at night. I looked around noticing no one in the room with me, I took that as a good opportunity to finally leave my room. I didn't know where I was going but I had to leave, I have to help find my baby brother. 

I slowly made my way out of bed. The brusies on my thighs and stomach was still aching but I forgot all about that as adrenaline rushed through my body. I walked out of my bedroom and out throught a long white hall. I forced a smile as unfamiliar nurses passed looking my way, I couldn't risk being caught. Finally making it to an elavator I watched as the numbers were counting down. Hearing the bell go off I felt relieved, I watched as the door opened then walked inside. 

The elavator was filled with a few people so I had to patiently wait for each of them to go on the floor they wanted.

Sighing in frustration I waited for the elavator to stop once again, as the door open I stood back into a corner. 

It couldn't be. Was I dreaming again? Am I hallucinating?

It had to be the medication causing me to see things.

What's up with Megan and Daquan. Why do you think she's allowing him to do what he does to her? She can't be that dumb.

Still no sign of baby CJ.

He could be right under their noses without them knowing .. Hint, Hint.
