Taking a deep breath the woman said.
"Calm down Shane, my name is Andrea and I'm your mother. This is Abigail your best friend."
"I know you're lost right now, but we are going to try our best to tell you who you are and what happened to you." Abigail said.
Andrea who claimed to be my mother, took out a large album and started to show me some pictures as a proof that they are actually related to me. Abigail sat beside me and started to explain all of my past life.
Abigail and i have been friends since elementary school at Indonesia, we both flew together to Australia to seek for a better life.
Words after words i started to have trust in them. My mother are introducing some of our family members to me, in hope that somehow i would regain my lost memory.
Pictures after pictures, stories after stories, i started to get anxious. There's something that still bothered me, so i raised a voice and said
"What happened to me?"
Then
"umm Shane, we don't really know what had happened to you, what i know is you were out for some air. You didn't tell me where you were going or what were you doing, and the next day i got a call from the hospital and rushed here immediately." Abigail said.
"Judging from your wounds, the doctor stated that you were hit at the back of your head, bruises are all over your body, and worse you were stabbed Shane. What hell did you got yourself into? You're damn lucky to be alive right now" Abigail said again.
"Stabbed? Bruises? Memory loss? what had happened to me?" I said to my self.
My mom explained that there were no evidence or witnesses that time, and somehow i appeared to be in front of the hospital by myself.
And yet again I'm lost, i tried to remember again but i couldn't.
Abigail noticed my heavy breath and took my hand. With all of her might she tried to calm me down, and it worked. I guess she's really my best friend after all.
"The doctor said that you can go home next week, as your stab wound wasn't really deep. Just take your time and rest, don't try to remember things. Those memories will come back to you eventually." Abigail said.
