This song was composed and written by Sieun. She gave this song to Sunmi as she thought Sunmi's voice fitted the concept and just the song in general more than hers.

She didn't write the entire song, but was glad to help with some of it.

She confirmed in a Vlive that inspiration for this song is indeed, her husband Taeyong. She wrote most of the song with the help of Teddy and is very grateful with the fans reactions.

This song, in he opinion, is the best song she has ever written. She was really proud with the outcome of the song and mentioned in their documentary how this is her favorite song, not only from their album, but from their whole discography.

This was a song written since before Blackpink's debut. Teddy wanted the song to be one of the first releases of the group but Sieun wanted it to be perfect so it was released on their full album.
