"Corporal? Would you ever start a family?" Petra asked the man sitting next to her.
"What kind of question is that?" He turned to her.
"It's just a question..." Petra mumbled.
"Why did you ask it?"
"I was just wondering if you'd ever start a family... Get married, have kids... It's my dream..."
"And it's going to stay a dream as long as titans exist."
"Well come on Levi, just imagine it! Getting married at the church, to the love of your life, and having kids-"
"Tch. Kids disgust me."
"Raising them," She ignored his comment. "And then watching them get married and having kids of their own... Being a grandparent sounds fun too! Growing old, with your companion for life by your side... But of course, one of them would die first... I'd be miserable if the one I married was the first to go... I wouldn't be able to stop crying, but I'd have to. I'm sure he wouldn't want me to. But if I was first to go, I'd feel guilty... Leaving him alone in the world... What about you Heichou?"
"I wouldn't dare get married in this world."
"What if you killed all the titans? Then would you marry someone?"
"Maybe... Depends if she's alive when the time comes."
"Really? You think she can't survive till then?"
"Well, luck is never really on my side... But I think she can survive a little bit longer."
"I think she can too." Petra smirked.
"And if she doesn't?"
"She will. I promise."
