chapter eighteen
real life
JOE BEING JOE TOOK DONA TO THE FANCIEST AND MOST OVER-PRICED DONUT SHOP IN THE WHOLE CITY.
"joseph this really isn't necessary." donatella exclaimed as the walked into the shop.
"oh, it is! you see, you gotta give a girl what she wants and what more could you want then the best donuts in the world?" joe said whilst giving dona's hand a squeeze.
"well. you've got me there." dona smiled looking at the different and unique designs on the donuts.
"so what're you thinking, don don? sweet? or savoury?"
"donut ever call me don don again." dona began to laugh at her own joke halfway through the sentence.
"that joke was so lame! boo, you hole!" joseph laughed back, putting emphasise on the 'so'
"ew." was all donatella could reply with while she was still laughing. "dad jokes really are the best."
"they are indeed."
the two adults got their donuts and sat at a table. as they were halfway through eating the song, 'girls just wanna have fun' came on and joe couldn't help himself.
"joseph! get down from that table! you are such a weirdo!" dona giggled. "how did you even get up there in one swift movement? to say the least i'm quite impressed!"
"c'mon don! dance with me!" joseph practically yelled, holding out his hand for dona to take.
dona took joe's hand and together they danced on top of the table. they both screamed the lyrics at the top of their lungs while earning multiple strange looks from all of the customers.
"i'm sorry, but i'm going to have to ask both of you to leave." one of the workers said as the two were still dancing.
dona and joe didn't even feel any embarrassment as they got kicked out of the shop, as they had fun together and that's all that really mattered.
