Chatter echoed the halls of Hogwarts, as students went to their next classes. A particularly large group of girls were lightly giggling as they followed a tall boy with raven hair. They tried to be quiet, also trying to catch glimpses of his exposed skin.
The boy sighed, walking faster. He was so tempted to hex the girls, but thought better of it. The raven-haired boy furiously covered his hands with his sleeves. After a few moments, the group behind him gave out sad sighs and split off.
" Still can't go anywhere without a crowd, huh Potter?"
Harry groaned, turning around to see a boy with blonde hair, almost white.
" And you still don't have one, Malfoy? Surprising," he snapped.
Malfoy sneered at him, before walking closer. Harry's stomach dropped as he once again realized they had Potions together next.
The other boy pressed past him, knocking his shoulder while doing so. Harry watched as Malfoy walked away, shaking his head.
" God, do I feel bad for whoever's his soulmate," Harry mumbled.
After your seventeenth birthday, you were supposed to get a tattoo of the last name of your soulmate. But, the name could appear anywhere and at anytime. You would know though, because he had been told that in the spot where it will be, there will be a tingling sensation.
Harry did not have an opinion on the soulmate thing, he just hoped whoever it was was not mean, or one of his many 'fangirls.'
Actually, this was one of the reasons Harry and Ginny broke up. Apart from the fact that Harry did not share the same feelings for her anymore, they decided that when they do find their soulmate, they should not be dating another person.
The Potions room was now in front of him. He pushed open the door and hurriedly went to find his seat. He turned to Ron, who looked like he was about to pass out.
" You alright there?"
Ron slowly shook his head.
" What happened?" Harry asked, worried.
He pointed across the room to a boy, in Slytherin robes.
Blaise Zabini.
Harry rolled his eyes.
" That prick, I'll make sure to teach him a lesson later."
The redhead nodded, instantly housing his head.
Suddenly, the doors burst open, and a man with black robes and gressy hair walked in, another, smaller, man behind him.
Snape turned to face the class, Slughorn to his right.
" Today you will be in pairs that I choose," Multiple students groaned," And will make a potion of your choosing.
" Zabini with Longbottom, Parkinson with Granger, Weasley with Goyle, Potter with Malfoy-"
Harry snapped his head toward the blonde as soon as heard this. Malfoy had too, and now they were staring at each other. Before Malfoy turned away, Harry swore he saw a tint of color dust his cheeks.
Harry started when the students around him started going to their partners. Harry hesitantly went over to the blonde, sitting as far away as he possibly could.
The group of girls ahead of Draco were being quite annoying in his opinion, giggling and trying to gaze at Potter's skin. Yes, he thought, Potter's skin does glow and he's beautiful, but you don't need to literally follow him to do it.
Draco scoffed watching the girls. Then out of nowhere, they all sighed and scattered away. The blonde smirked to himself.
" S
till can't go anywhere without a crowd, huh Potter?"
The boy with raven locks turned to him.
"And you still don't have one, Malfoy? Surprising."
Draco sneered at him. He loved teasing the hell out of the boy. He walked toward Potter, making sure to knock his shoulder on the way. He heard him mutter something under his breath, but he was too far away to hear it.
He walked down the halls to the Potions room, soon entering. He pushed open the doors and went in, sitting by Pansy and Blaise.
Draco tapped on his thigh while waiting for class to start. Blaise and Pansy were discussing something about crushes, which did not interest him in the slightest. A figure entered the room at that moment, none other than Potter himself.
He smirked to himself again, remembering how no one, not even Pansy or Blaise, knew of his feelings for The Boy Who Lived. He has had this crush since who knows when. It just happened.
Draco jumped in his seat when the doors to the room were thrown open, and he almost ran out of his seat when a hand was put on his shoulder.
Pansy.
She knew that sudden movement scared him, ever since he was forced to get the Dark Mark. He thought of her like a mother or sister, always making sure he was okay.
Professor Snape walked in with Professor Slughorn, who looked like he did not want to be here. Draco silently agreed with him.
Professor Snape said something about being grouped into pairs, but Draco wasn't listening, for he felt a tingling sensation the back of his wrist.
His breathe was suddenly gone as he gripped the end of his sleeve. He knew what this was. He slowly pulled it up, careful to hide it under the desk.
Potter.
