Leaves crunched under Harry's feet as he walked to the Black Lake. He shivered, cursing himself for not bringing a jacket with him. For the Boy Who Lived, you would think I knew how to actually survive.
Even though he had his Invisibility Cloak, he did not want to scare Malfoy by appearing out of seemingly nowhere.
As he grew closer, he could see a figure sitting at the edge of the lake, a figure that Harry could only guess was Malfoy. He was staring into the water, fidgeting with a rock in his hand. Harry kept forward, soon by him." Hey," he said as he sat by the blonde.
" You came," Malfoy said in a shocked tone.
Harry laughed, looking down.
" Be glad I did. Now, why am I heere?"
The other boy sighed, looking up at the stars.
" I want... I want us to forget about what we did to each other in the past. I want to start over."
" Why? I thought you liked torturing me."
" I'm just tired of it! After what happened... I... I want to change... be a, better, person... and I wanted to start with you."
All that came from Harry was silence.
Draco cursed, getting up.
" This was stupid, I knew you'd never forgive me-"
He stopped, as Harry had grabbed his hand. A light blush spread across Draco's face.
" I want to help you change, Draco. I want to forgive you... but you have to prove to me that you're willing to change."
Draco kneeled in front of the raven-haired boy. " I-I'll do whatever it takes!"
" Then, start having conversations with people you hurt before. Apologize and make amends. Compliment things Ron has, stop calling 'Mione that foul name, stuff like that."
" I will Harry, I will. I promise"Draco kept his promise.
He was walking toward them in the castle, causing Ron to groan.
" Oh look, it's bloody Malfoy again-"
" You know, Weasley, red really suits you." Draco said, smiling at him. He turned to Hermione, who had dropped a book, and picked it up for her, looking at the cover.
" Romeo and Juliet, a classic. You have good taste, Granger."
Hermione gawked at him.
" Ah, Harry! Didn't see you there! Glad to see you. Well, I have a class to get to, bye!"
Draco sped off, Ron pinching himself.
" Harry, I think he's finally lost it." He turned to Harry, expecting him to be astonished, but only a smile was to be found.
" He kept his promise," he whispered.
Ron leaned close to Hermione.
" I think they've both lost it."Who finally updated? Me. Why?
