Spring Break had come and gone. Honestly, it felt like half the summer, since it felt long to me. My name is Bella, and I am a senior. I am 17 old, but I act childish. I'm always bubbly around friends. The only time I am serious is when I go to my classes. However, it is very stressful for me. I have to send transcripts, tour campuses, and plan my future. It's too much for me to handle. Unlike most people who look into the future and want to graduate, I prefer to stay in the present. It scares me when I know that I have to grow up. To me, when people start thinking more and more about the future, it comes sooner. Therefore, I do not like to talk about it anymore.
I live in a big house. My mom once said that if she ever wins the lottery, she will use the money to pay bills and use the rest to build me a house next door. Since she won, I now live next door. My parents do check up on me and call to make sure I am home or at school. At least she does not knock on my door demanding to know what I am doing.
Luckily, I have an escape from reality. There is this game I enjoy. It's a popular game developed by Japan. It's called Wizardess Heart. I tried to play it, but it keeps saying I need to check my network connection. So, I go on youtube to watch spin offs, sequels, and character routes. As I think about it, I get a notification from Joel.
[Joel] Let me wait for you here...so we can walk to the class. Is that okay?
Me: Ugh, how many times is he going to send that notification? It was like when Klaus kept sending that one message. There is also a notification for Headmaster Rembrandt's story.
Me: It's probably a 24 hour notification...
I had some chores to do. I needed to get ready for school as well. Spring break is almost over, and I need to make sure I am prepared for my last months as a senior. The thing that pressures us most is college. We have to turn in transcripts and do some FAFSA thing. I know they want us to be prepared and make plans for our future. But it's too much.
Me: Just deal with it...
I sighed as I looked at the games on my phone. I had a few more games from them. Some of them I had to get rid of because of the stupid network connection. I could download it on my phone, but that would use up my data. As I log into my account, I realize I have to wash dishes. I put my iPad next to the sink and tied my long dark brown hair up. I had to get the pots and pans off the stove. Once I put them on the counter, I almost forgot that my iPad was there. The long pan pushed my iPad off the counter, and into the sink full of running water.
Me: Nooo!
I take it out and try to turn it on, but it wouldn't. I let out a frustrated sigh.
Me: I wish Wizardess Heart was real...that way I wouldn't have to go on youtube to watch their stories. Ouch!
My fingers felt a small shock from the wet device. It didn't hurt a lot, but I did drop my iPad. Thank God I have a case for it. Otherwise, it would've cracked even more. I put some rice into a bag and placed my iPad into it.
Me: Hopefully, this'll work.
I still had my phone, so I can only log into Facebook a few times. I realized I still needed to finishes cleaning the dishes. So I grabbed my sponge and started to clean the pots and pans. Afterwards, I turned off the lights, and headed towards my room. I need to think about what to eat. I use my phone to play a few songs from BTS and Beast.
Meanwhile, the iPad began to create electricity. In another world, a magical portal formed. A couple of people noticed this, and began to report it to another human. But they weren't average human beings. They were creations, and 23 males showed up to figure out where it might lead to. The eldest man declared that the only way to find out was to send 3 men into the portal. These three men worked for what looked like a Ministry. One of them declared that they should bring along more men with them in case they need backup. The older male of the group could not leave, but he did approve of the idea. So one by one, 22 men entered the mysterious portal, not knowing where it lead to, and what would happen.
As I listened to music, I began to clean up around my room. Suddenly, I heard what appeared to be glass being shattered. I froze in fear and grabbed searched for anything that I can use for a weapon. The only thing I saw was an emergency sound keychain, a mirror, and my phone. I slowly and quietly walked out my room and used the mirror to search into other rooms without being seen. I heard another glass being broken. It sounded like it was coming from the kitchen.
Me: Please, don't be a thief...
I used my phone to dial 911 on my phone. I am afraid to see what or who is in my house. I can feel my heart beating fast. I started thinking about what could happen to me if there was a burglar. Or worst... A few burglars. I can't take them all at once. There is no way I can win.
I went down the stairs and used my mirror again to search the kitchen. However, there was a bright light and shadows, so I could not tell what was happening. A moment later, it stopped. With all the courage I had, I screamed and grabbed a nearby pan. Once I walked pass the corner, I could not believe what I saw.
There were familiar faces, eyes, and and outfits. I know what I was seeing, but it could not be real. They looked like real people to me. (Am I dreaming. No... This seems too real to be a dream) They weren't burglars at all. Thank goodness. But how can these people be here? They don't exist. This isn't real...they can't be. Purple eyes, blue eyes, brown eyes, green eyes, and whatever eye colors there were; they all starred back at mine.
(How...?) I couldn't say much, but the only thing I whispered when I saw them was:
Me: Wizardess Heart...
