"And then she said I should act more like the Mary Magdalene."

"She is such a bitch to you!" Lily exclaimed.

"Tell me something I don't know."

I sprawled out on the floor of my giant bedroom and focused my attention on the flat screen in front of me. I could hear Lily laying on my bed munching on snacks behind me. Ever since we met in middle school we have done a, now, traditional Friday night sleepover after school. I supply the house and Netflix, since I basically have the whole downstairs to myself. My parents' room is on the other side on the second floor, so we dont bother them when we're being loud and obnoxious. Lily's job is to supply the junk food. Tonight's party includes multiple episodes of Vampire Diaries and every chip flavor known to man littering my floor.

I felt something hit my head and looked back with a fake glare. "What?"

"Damon. Is. So. Hot."

I laughed. "You know it's just the bad boy attitude."

"That's all he needs!" She hopped down onto the floor with me and passed me some pringles. "We both know you'd go after that."

"Maybe," I sighed, "but he probably wouldn't go after me. I swear I'm cursed."

"Nahhh. You're just...unique."

"Does unique mean a happily sinning bitch and everyone knows it?"

"....Yes."

After a moment of silence we broke out into a fit of laughter and it didn't stop until we were in tears.

"But really Mary," she gasped between laughs, "You aren't cursed. There just aren't guys at our school that are worthy of what you have to offer: a pretty face, a great attitude, and a nice ass."

"You been checkin' me outta baby girl?"

"Only every single day. What can I say, you pull off those Spongebob pajama pants so well."

I shoved a stack of Pringles into my mouth and turned my attention back to Vampire Diaries. "Good to know."

We spent the rest of the evening pigging out. We even stole some of my mom's favorite ice cream. The secret to not getting caught?...blaming it on dad.

It was about two o'clock in the morning when my bladder started doing back flips.

"Ahhhhhhhh nature calls!" I jumped up and ran down the hall to my bathroom.

"Don't fall in!" Lily called after me.

The house was chilly compared to my room and the toilet seat froze my poor butt cheeks. I really wish we had a heated toilet seat. I remember reading something about them once and instantly thought of how useful it would be to have. At least I have my jacuzzi bathtub. I practically live in that thing.

I finished my business and tip-toed to the sink. I really hate the feeling of tile sticking to my bare feet.

The sensation of cool water washing over my hands felt amazing and I just wanted to swan dive into the sink, that is, if I could fit.

Suddenly I heard a loud scream from my room.

Lily.

I didn't bother turning off the sink as I sprinted out of the bathroom, down the hall, and to my room.

She was sprawled out on the ground, out cold.

"Lily? What happened? " I asked as I bent down and smacked her on the face a couple times. Nothing. "LILY!"

"She's fine."

I turned around and gasped at what I was seeing. "Who...who are you? What are you?"

He smiled, "Take a guess."

Before I knew it my legs gave out and I was on the ground.

"Just let go." I heard him whisper.

And I did let go. I began spiraling into a pit darkness that was completely separate from my body.

"Just let go."
