As soon as dinner was over, we said our goodnights and ventured to our rooms. I hopped onto my bed and laid down. 'Be thankful' was being tucked into a corner of my mind, but then it grew. I then recognized, I was blinded by thirst. Thirst for things that I didn't have. Even though I didn't have expensive clothes and jewelry, what I had was enough. Lesson learned don't take anything for granted and be thankful for everything. That you're able to wake up and see the next day because of God's mercy. That you have a roof over your head. That you have parents and family. That you get food in your stomach everyday. That you got clothes on your back. That you actually get a chance to have an education. Be thankful for you health, and last but not least your life. My life might not be extraordinary and extravagant, but it's good. My life is well.
