When the world turns against you.

Part 1

"When will you answer me Brett",Michelle muttered.Brett promised he would call twice a week but it has been a month.Nehemiah can feel her mothers sadness and start to cry."No Nehemiah,please don't cry now",her mother said almost as if she is irratated.

Michelle got Nehemiahs favorite toy.A brown bear just as big as her.Her dad gave it to her when she was born.She has been stuck on it since then.

Nehemiahs tears stop rolling down her red cheecks and her moans started to stop.After a couple of seconds her smile lit up the room and she was laughing of joy.

"You are really a ray of sunshine",Michelle said happily.The next moment Nehemiah asked,"mama,where is papa."When Michelle wanted to say something some one knocked on the door.The banging echod through the house.Bang!Bang! Bang! One knock after the other.

Michelle hurried to the door and opened it.There stood a tall man with black cloths and wanted to sell stuff.His eyes scanned through the house a bit and Michelle closed the door more."No thank you",she said.The man walked away without saying anything.

It is around 20:00 at night and they were getting ready for bed.Michelle made delicious veggies,chicken and rice.They enjoyed the meal together and Michelle bathed Nehemiah.Nehemiah splashed with joy the water and Michelle did not mind cleaning the floor.

Her phone rang.Ring!Ring!Ring!Michelle went to grab her phone on her table in her room next to her bed.She answered and walked straight back to her daughter playing playfully in the tub.Just to keep an eye on her.

It was her mother just making sure she is ok."Yes mom we are perfectly fine",she replied.

"I will call you tomorrow again my dear and maybe you should come eat dinner here with us tomorrow",her mother said.

"That will be fun,"she told her worried mother.

The granted each other a great and safe night.

Michelle picked up Nehemiah and made her dry with her pink cloth.Michelle dressed her in her pajamas.Nehemiah ran to her room to fetch her teddy and went back to her mothers room and got on the bed.She slept with her mother since she was born because she is afraid of the dark.Her mother wrapped her in 2 warm blankets and she went off to shower.Her room had a walk-in bathroom so she could watch her daughter carefully.

She turned on the taps and waited impatiently for the water to be hot enough.She got in the shower but first peaked if Nehemiah was asleep.She was.

Michelle was in the shower for 40 seconds when she heard glass breaking.She turned the water off grabbed her gown and putted it on.She grabbed her gun in the closet.Brett gave her a gun to protect her and Nehemiah when there is trouble.She stares out the window and saw 2 cars that crashed into each other.She saw glass around the cars and thought nothing would be broken like a window in the house.She places the gun in her cabnet next to her bed.

Soon she heard the ambulance and they cleared the scene.It was starting to get late.It was almost 22:00.She got in her pajamas and climed into her bed.She left on 2 night lights for Nehemiahs fear of the dark and rushed to her dreams.Zzz zzz zzz...
