Sammie's POV

When Dad did that I laughed so hard I got light headed. I get out of hiding and say, "I'll be there too! To see your face when they take Sky away from you!" "Y-you... Re-really hate me..?" Sky says when she comes out. Sky's dad looks saddened by that question. Sky's mom looks like she just crapped herself.

We usher her out of the house and close and lock the door. Jake is looking at Albert and Sky's dad jealously and goes to Albert hiding the jealousy. "Hey Al, so.. How do we set a court case?" Jake asks. "Oh.. Uh.." Albert replies. "I'll settle that!" Sky's Dad says. Jake and Albert talk for a bit while Sky's Dad goes to set up a court case.

I walk in my room with sky and we set up what we had last time. "This time YOU get YOUR bed..." Sky says. "If you're sure.." I reply. We decide to text Cole.

The texting~

Sammie: Sup Cole!

Sky: Yeah, what's up?

Cole: The sky.. XD Get it?

Sky: I'm changing my name...

System: Sky changed her name to Schuyler.

System: Sammie changed her name to Sam.

Cole: Your no fun..

Sam: You're*

Cole: What?

Schuyler: She corrected you.. You put the wrong word..

Cole: So?

Schuyler: So?! It bothers people... >:(

Sam: Hehe. Anyway, we might go to court!

Schuyler: Is that something to be happy about Sammie?

Sam: I dunno.

Cole: Why?

Schuyler: Because.. My mom.. :|

Cole: Uhh?

Schuyler: Just.. We'll tell you later... At school.. When I get back.. Heh...

Cole: I still cant believe you fought tiff!

Schuyler: Gosh danngit! Use proper grammar!!

Cole: No. This is texting.. At least I am writing good MOST of the time.. But I also get lazy lol. (A/N: Me too Cole..)

Sam: I'ma go.. Dad's calling for dinner!! Yeet!

Schuyler: If I could I would face palm so hard my face would be disintegrated...

Sam: Lol!!

Texting end~

When Sky and I go down for dinner we see that it is Spaghetti and garlic bread. "Yes!" We both say. We go sit at the table. I sit next to sky, with her dad on the other side of her. Jake and Dad are on the other side of the table. "So.. We have a court date set for sometime next month, are y'all okay with that?" Sky's dad asks Jake and Dad.

They both nod. Jake still seems protective of Dad. I love this. I have to continue the plan soon. "Dad? Do you think we will win? I don't wanna stay with mom.." That sentence made me wanna slap that.. ahem.. jerk, they call Sky's 'mom' "She will NOT win.. I promise.." I love how caring Sky's dad is..

I wanna protect my friend. I swear I will. If that person, supposedly Sky's 'mom' wins... I'm gonna be the one in jail for murder! When we get done with dinner Sky and I headed to my room to play the game of life. Her car was full and more by the end.

"Girls! Bed time!" I hear Dad yell from downstairs. I also hear footsteps coming up to our room. It was Jake and Dad. I could see Sky's dad behind them. Dad and Jake come to me and Sky's Dad goes to Sky. "Goodnight Sammie, you and Sky sleep good," Dad says. Jake nods. "Love you," Dad says. I say it back to him. Sky's dad was talking to Sky then he kisses her forehead.

Dad kisses my forehead and goes to the door. Sky's dad walks out of the room. Jake hugs me. Then they both leave.

Time skip to trial because I can...

It was the day of the trial. I couldn't believe this was the day to decide Sky's fate. Or mine, like I said earlier. We get ready and I wear a purple shirt with a purple and pink skirt. I have white knee high socks and black flats. Sky's wearing a red shirt with a black skirt. White ankle length socks and black flats. We are dressed for success.

When we got to the court house I was nervous and shaky. I didn't wanna lose my best friend in the world! Please, God up above... Let us win this case! My friend Sky does not deserve what her 'mom' does to her! I silently pray.

We go in and I see cameras. This is gonna be live. (I'm imagining a judge Judy thing... Just go with it..?) I get more excited then worried. The whole world will know about this. Sky, me, Albert and Jake sit in the witness seats and wait for the trial to began. Sky's Dad at the podium thing. I see Sky's 'mom' at the other podium. If she wins. Everything will be different.

Soon later the trial actually begins. "Okay, so. Alexander Blunder is suing Randy Hunney-Blunder for child abuse of their child. He wants custody of their child and wants her to never see the child ever again. Randy has no counter-sue. Alexander, do you have evidence?" The judge asks.

"Yes, your honer, I do. A recording of her admitting it. My witness, Albert Stuff (Idk his last name..) is here with it," Sky's Dad says. We're gonna win. I say in my head.

After they all watch the video everyone is staring at Sky's mom with horror. The judge quickly says. "I think that is enough evidence to say Skylar is free from her mom and goes with her dad," and bangs the hammer. "YES! SKY! YOU'RE FREE! YOU GET TI LIVE A NICE LIFE!!" I say hugging her.

A/N

Here you go! I know it's kinda lazy but I finished this book at 12:00am. So cut me some slack. Man, it's not even 1000 words yet.. Oh well, I hope you enjoyed this. So yeah, Sky's free from that person called her "mom" and get's her dad! Yay!

Also question, do you think Sammie should develop a crush on BOTH her friends, she may be dating Cole, but what if she turns BI?? Huh? Heh.. I don't know. Anyway I NEED sleep, and now I got this over 1000 words so I'm SATISFIED. I'm not done with the references from Hamilton. Lol.

Anyway, bye!!

Preview of next chapter:

Sky's POV

When we get to school a week after everything we see a difference in atmosphere. I could tell they saw the live court case. I even think Tiff saw it. I hope she doesn't use that against me. We go to class and see people staring at me. I hate this feeling..

"Why are they staring at me??" I ask Sammie. "Probably because of the court case on the TV. Don't worry about it. If anyone tries to hurt you I'll protect you, like how you protected me!" She says in a happy whisper.

Till next time~
