Chapter 27// Undefeated:

"Olivia how you holding up?" Mr. Ferrel said or should I say agent Collin Vanderbilt.

"I don't know Mr. Ferrel-" I was cut off by him

"Please call me Collin, can't stand that name." he said offering a friendly smile

"Uh okay well what I was saying nobody is explaining to me what on earths going on." I said out of frustration

"What have they told you?" Collin asked

"That Crista Latimore seems like a sociopath" I said I'm still shocked but not surprised. And then something clicked in my head oh my god it'll makes sense.

I quickly got up from the chair and all the agents in the room stared at me like I'm some person who's on a high.

"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Today when you saw her talking to me you kept looking towards us... she asked me to meet her tomorrow at 11 after the game." I said

All the agents in the room stared at me like I was crazy for a minute because I rambled everything out in less than a minute.

"What does she want?" Matt asked me looking curious with his deep piercing blue eyes. I'm a sucker for blue eyes.

"She wants to talk to me about my ex boyfriend" I said looking down at the glass of water I was holding.

"Whose your ex boyfriend" agent Haynes asked me suspiciously

"Uh his names Alex Vanderbilt" I said still looking down not making eye contact at any of them.

"Gabriel Vanderbilt's son, that means your nephew?" Matt asked me and Collin. I nodded my head in response and so did Colin, so they know who I'm talking about.

"This girls good" Matt and Agent Haynes said together

"Can you make the meet tomorrow?" Matt asked me, I looked up and I was confused what does the Vanderbilt's have to do with this investigation?

"Miss Kent's family has been threatening, framing, and commiting fraud towards the Vanderbilt family." Agent Haynes spoke my jaw dropped to the floor.

Then I looked towards my teacher "And you are?"

"I'm Ashley and Alex's uncle. I'm only working in the school to make sure there safe along with another students. And we are afraid you may become a target" Colin finished

"So that was the huge secret" I blurted out. Oh my god now I feel like such an idiot.

"No there's other things you don't know" Matt interrupted my thoughts

"Why aren't they in witness protection?" I asked like seriously why aren't they in witsec?

"My brothers a very stubborn man. Besides there after the Vanderbilt estate by Central Park." Collin spoke.

"Wait so how long has this been going on for?"

"Since Gabriel fired Mr Samuel Kent five years ago. He threatened his son ..." agent Haynes was going to say more but Collin cut him off.

But I needed answers right now I don't care.

"Wait he threatened Alex?" I croaked out. My eyes became watery I can't believe I've never known about this. How he didn't tell me his family was in danger.

"We can't answer that question Olivia." Matt said hypnotizing my with his crystal blue eyes. They had a hint of aqua in it and it was beautiful. I smiled back I can't believe this. I'm freaking crushing on someone who works for the FBI.
