Josh's Pov

I stormed back into the base with Layla behind me. My breathing was quick and my heart was pounding against my chest. My face was bright red, I didn't need a mirror to tell. I went up to Agatha and she looked at us confused.

"Mission failure?" she asked. I growled.

"This isn't over. Morgan was captured. Where the hell was Venette?" I yelled. Agatha looked at me.

"Morgan must've not been in the right place. Venette was there." She said. I growled.

"Well, apparently she wasn't! Now, Morgan is god knows where and who knows what is happening to her right now!" I yelled. My hands clenched into fists and they began shaking.

"Josh. Take a deep breath. We will try and get her back." She said.

"Try? You better do more than just try! My sister is out there alone and probably scared out of her wits end!" Layla yelled. When she said Morgan was possibly scared my heart dropped. I don't want her to be scared. Not when I can prevent her from doing so.

"We will do all that we..." She started but I interrupted her fast.

"Shut up! Talking about saving her is not going to save her! We need to find her location and get her back before our situation gets worse!" I yelled out loudly gaining the attention of the whole barn. Agatha gave me a cold look before sighing and nodding.

"Okay. Fine. I'll send a search team out tomorrow to try and recover anything that happened. whether it be from the footprints or security footage, we'll find her." She said.

"You better," I said and I turned around storming away. I walked outside to a field of what probably used to be corn and I sat down running my hands through my hair. I laid down on the hard ground staring at the sky as the burning sun went down. I closed my eyes.

"It's all my fault."

~Flashback~

I was kneeling on the ground with my rifle resting against the edge of the building looking through the scope. I saw Morgan walking through the crowds. She was going the right way. Good. She ended up at the correct spot but there was nobody there. No guards, No people, and definitely not Venette. That's weird. There should be a bunch of people around here.

"There's nobody here." She whispered into the earpiece. Yes, Morgan, I can see that.

"Just wait. She'll be there." I said adjusting my rifle so I had better aim. We waited for quite a few minutes. At least 30 minutes went by and nothing. Her sister was already in position ready to go.

"Josh. Something is wrong." Morgan said. I could hear the nervousness in her voice. She was right though. Something was off. She should've been there.

"Just wait a bit longer," I said. I didn't want too, but that necklace costed a crap ton and I was willing to wait to get it.

"Dammit, I'm going in." She said. I lifted my head from the scope confused. What was she thinking?

"Morgan! Wait! What are you..." I started but I realized there was no point. I groaned and got up moving a bit further to my left to try and get a better aim. She walked in. I heard her moving around and then a gasp. I went to ask what was wrong when she responded to me.

"I'm not alone. Someone is..." She started but she let out a yelp and I heard her beginning to fight someone. I stood up fast and began sprinting across the roofs to try and get to her. I slipped and almost didn't make a jump. I began falling but I managed to grab onto the edge and hold on.

"Dammit! Morgan hang on!" I yelled. I heard a man scream in pain and I cursed under my breath and pulled myself up to the roof and got up running again. I let myself slide to the position and I put my rifle up. I looked through the scope and saw Morgan with a piece of fabric over her mouth and nose but she was too far away for me to be able to shoot them.

"Morgan! Fight it! Come on stay awake!" I yelled loudly watching her fall over after they took it off her mouth and nose.

"Josh." I heard her say in a barely audible whisper. I jumped off the building and landed painfully and began to sprint.

"Morgan! Come on! Stay awake!" I screamed. I saw the building and I slammed my shoulder into a door and ran inside to the kitchen where she was seeing nothing but missing dust and I panted heavily. I ran my hands through my hair feeling my eyes water and my heart race a million miles an hour. Maybe If I would've just stayed up there I could've saved her.

I fell to my knees shaking and I let out a small sob as the tears broke my barrier and rolled down my face. Why was I crying? I had no reason to cry. This has happened so many times before why is Morgan so different? I slammed my fists on the ground sending a dust cloud up into the air and I quickly wiped away my tears standing up and I felt something take over me almost. My blood ran hot and my eyes felt hard. I could feel my skin freeze and my muscles tense entirely. My teeth ground together tightly and I let out a throaty growl. I was going to kill those people. If it was the last thing I did.
