It was Sunday, I was at the service. The service was ending, to be honest I didn't want it to finish, Pastor Javier was talking about how to be you and overcome what other say about you. The sermon was called "Be you, like Jesus was his own". I loved it, so intriguing, I wanted to know more now but the Pastor just called for those who wanted to accept Christ in his heart. I'm part of the Helping the New Believers Ministry, so I helped a teen go up front, she was crying, then she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, when she did that I took her info to keep in touch with her and help her in this new path.
After the service me and my family went out to lunch, we ate at Chili's some good ribs and finished it with a molten. Then we went to the mall, I needed to buy some new clothes for my youth group party on Friday, I was part of the Worship crew so there was a big party and well needed to look my best. Anyways we went on to Forever 21 clearance area and found some pretty good stuff. Then we made it to Journey's to fine some sneakers to pair it with, you know I'm a gal with style, not too girly but not too tomboy.
"Mom" - I say
"Yes darling?"- she answers back
"Can I go to Zara?"
"Darling, you know we can't go there, I don't like going to pricey stores, try on everything I like and then leave it, because we don't have the money to pay for a $30 shirt or a $75 jean. I'm sorry but no."
"Mom, please, all my friends dress from there and still, if they have something in clearance to an affordable price, maybe you can buy it and for the next activity I don't have to buy new clothes."
"Ok fine, just go to the clearance area, that is it. If there is nothing, we leave."
"Thanks mom, I promise you, we will find something 😊"
We on to Zara directly to the clearance area like my mother said, believe me, if we don't follow her rules, we are screwed, she will get so mad that you will literally run for your life. That is the thing with Latinas moms. 😂😂🤦🏻♀️
So, there was nothing on sale, just like my mom said, (I honestly hated it when she is right) but then I move quickly without her noticing to the regular area. Then I see a nice shirt that is my style, including the message it had. It was only $7.95 but the jean overalls that go with it were $32.95, that was it, I could show my mom the shirt and maybe she will consider it but those overalls, no sir, she isn't going to like it. So anyways I went on to show her the outfit and obviously she liked it, but she did not like the price. Anyways I somehow managed to convince my father to get me those overalls I wanted but he said, "for the next paycheck you will get them, I promise you". So, holding on to that promise, I said mom, let's go. We left the store then the mall, we got into our car and left for our home.
