Chapter 2

Alice pov

I kept thinking about my weird mate as the school day slowly passed before realizing that I could leave for lunch considering I have no classes after. I then thought against it as I would like to spend as much time with her as I could before going home. 'My resolve is thinning I'll have to hunt after I leave..this Bella is doing things to me.' I thought to myself as I was walking toward the lunchroom. When I walked in I noticed my family had already found the table to sit at and I started walking over to them. As soon as I sat down Emmett began to throw question after question at me, all of them including Bella but some of them were extremely vulgar. If I could blush I know I would've been red all over, but instead I looked away while hearing him laughing at me.

"What happened between Bella and I is none of your business Emm." I spoke while tensing up due to the smell of roses and evergreen filling the cafeteria. I looked to see my family looking at me then looking around, they obviously noticed the change in my body language. My once confident self turning quiet while Bella was somewhere in the room. They started talking about the classes they had or the people in them until they all got quiet. I looked to them again until the smell of roses and evergreen got much stronger.

"Hello again Alice," Bella said then she looked toward the rest of the table and smiled at them, "is it alright with you all if i sat here?" She had spoke softly but loud enough for the kids around us to stop and look at what was happening. Nobody ever asked to sit with us because our unnatural beauty made them nervous just being around us, but Bella acted as if we were normal. I smiled at her while I heard Jasper say it was alright. I was nervous both because she was my mate, but also because I was unsure what Rosalie would do. I looked at her to see her looking toward Bella with confusion.

"Guys, this is Bella. Bella these people are my siblings." I introduced each one to her starting with Edward and ending with Rosalie who  surprisingly extended her hand to Bella while saying 'hello'. Bella smiled but then got quiet before looking around the cafeteria. "These people dont know do they." She said softly while taking a bite of her apple and leaning back. Everyone stiffined before masking it. "What are you talking about Bella?" I asked while talking to Edward in my head. 'Eddie whats she thinking, what did she mean by that.' I noticed him shrug while he stared at Bella in confusion and repeated what I said. She turned toward me and looked at me expectantly. "Bella Im sorry but I dont understand what your meaning." I said while looking at my family, seeing and hearing them also confirm my words.

She finished her bite of apple and swallowed before speaking again. "That you guys arent human, these townfolk dont know do they." She said while she gestured around the room. We didnt say anything which told Bella that she was correct. I could send Jasper trying to calm someone down and I looked to see Rosalie shaking with anger. I stood up which caused Bella to look slightly confused before she took another bite of her apple. "Bella. Follow me." I told her before turning and walking away leaving no room for her to decline and I heard her shuffle to gather her things before running to catch up with me. I walked outside, thankful it was cloudy. I continued walking, even when we reached the tree line. For thirty minuets we walked in silence, Bella seeming to understand that she shouldnt talk right now.

When we reached a slight opening in the trees I stopped which caused Bella to run into my back before jumping back. "What did you mean when you said that Bella." I said getting straight to the point, worried because I had no visions about this happening. "That you guys are vampires, blood suckers, cold ones." She said and I noticed her voice was shaking slightly. I turned to see her crying silently. I stepped toward her which caused her to drop to her knees. I stared down at her small form before droping down to the ground as well. This caused her to look up at me and see that I was confused. "Bella my family and I, we arent like other vampires. We have a family joke, that we are vegetarians, because we drink animals blood instead." This caused her tenses body to relax some, wiping her eyes she looked up at me. I stood up and offered my hand to help her up which the quickly accepted. Once she was standing I went to drop her hand but she continued to grasp mine tightly.

"Bella. What are you doing?" I asked quickly, feeling the animal within me screaming to claim her as mine. She looked at me and it was as if the world stopped turning, something within me snapped and I pulled her to me. Placing a hand on the small of her back while the other one moved the hair from her eyes. I noticed her breathing speed up at my touch, I moved my eyes down to see her biting her lip. I moved my thumb over her lips causing her to gasp. I moved closer to her lips, looking into her eyes to see if this was okay with her. I noticed her nod slightly before I captured her lips with mine. Our kiss wasnt long or anything special but it was enough to tell me that she was the one for me until my last day.

I let her lips go and moved down to her throat leaving small kisses from the corner of her mouth all the way down to her collarbone. Her hands clutched at the back of my jacked, pulling me toward her until there was no room between us. I started to kiss up her neck until I got behind her ear. I heard her softly moan at my kiss which caused me to smile into her skin. My teeth slightly brushed against her skin causing her to release another moan into the air. The scent of her arousal becoming known to me. I lifted my head up to look into her eyes. Her eyes locked onto mine and then widened.

"Alice, your eyes..." She said softly. It didnt click in my head that smelling her arousal would make me want to claim her more, in turn making my eyes go from their golden butterscotch to a deep onyx. I stepped back and looked away, scared that my eyes would make her run. I started to walk away until I felt her silky smooth hand turn my face toward her again. "Alice, please dont go, your eyes are beautiful either way. Dont run away it doesnt change anything." Bella spoke softly while moving her thumb across my cheek and over my lips. I parted them and took the tip of her thumb between my teeth, smiling slightly and the way her eyes dilated. I released her thumb and stepped back.

"Bella, what do you know about our...kind." I said looking around us, seeing the trees move slowly in the wind. I turned to see her already staring at me. "Your extremely strong, really fast, hard as rock." She said before looking around us, nervous and fidgeting because of my intense gaze. "That is correct, but some also have powers other than that." I said softly and this caused her to look at me curiously, as if to silently ask 'what do you mean'. "I have visions of the future, but its not always true because people can change their mind which then changes the future." I said and explained how I had the vision of her this morning and said that if she had decided not to come then my vision wouldve changed.

Bellas beautiful chocolate eyes shone with wonder and excitement, her peachy lips parted in a smile. "Are there others in your...family...that have powers or is it just you?" She asked in wonder, her voice clearly showing how amazed she was at the thought of powers that seemed to only be in comic books. I smiled down at her and nodded. "Yes, but how about you ask them yourself little one." I spoke and her eyes dilated as I said 'little one'. 'Someone likes pet names then' I thought while smiling.
