I gasped, “What are you doing here in the open?”

Nole didn’t say a word he just grabbed me and we ran out the library. When we had finally stopped I was out of breath and Nole let me go. I looked up at Nole as I gasped for air and realized he wasn’t in a good mood as he always was. I finally stood up and we just stood there for a while before he raised his hand and threw it down. I closed my eyes and yelled at myself for being so stupid as to allow him to come to me so many times but then when I had opened them he was holding a bug that was planted on me at some point. Nole held the bug in his hand for a while and then smiled as he crushed it.

“They aren’t playing very fair” Nole said wiping the remnants of the bug on his pants “They even tried to do away with you in a simulation”

“You didn’t put me in that simulation?”

“Why because it was about the old Attain practices, I knew from before just showing you the Attain in the olden days wouldn’t get you to trust me but I also knew that by showing you too much I’d be putting you in too much danger but from what I heard you saw I can tell their no longer kidding around with you”

“What does that mean?”

“It means that they either want you to join them or kill you off because you pose a threat against them”

I stared at Nole and he put his hand behind his neck as he scratched it.

Nole patted me on my head “I wont be visiting you for a while so stay out of trouble”

“Your going to be leaving after you just told me they want me dead” I yelled pushing him away

“I can’t always stay I have to go home”

“That’s no excuse why put me in so much danger and then run off?!”

“You still have Kez” his eyes were blank and his voice was cold “Kez will be there for you”

“Yeah your right he always has”

Nole said his goodbyes and left. When I finally actually looked up to see where I was I realized I was in the gaming district and decided I should go back to the library and pray Jen didn’t see who had threw that water at her. When I got back to the library Jen was sitting down with a book to her face.

I apologized “Jen I am so sorry are you okay?”

Jen giggled, “Yeah whoever that was just startled me”

“So about Kez…”

“Oh actually I have to get home and deal with this stuff before it stains so I’ll catch you later”

Jen once again jumped up and ran out the library. After a while I decided it was time for me to head home as well. When I got home my father was in the living room waiting for me.

My father asked, “Where have you been?”

“I was out with Jen,” I answered stopping to face him.

“How much do you value all the society has done for you and others?”

“I value it a lot father”

“Then why is it that you keep going against the higher ups including me?”

“I’m not father!”

“The boy is dangerous to society and to the peace of our way of living, if a person defies the routine then all order shall be destroyed!”

My father sighed as three or four Jires rushed into the room and grabbed hold of me. I didn’t struggle to get free because fighting would only prove that I was rebellious and I’d be an outcast and so I obediently stood there and stared at my father. My mother by this time had come into the room and saw me being held onto.
