a/n: Hi every one this story came to me in random parts that I sort of had to piece together on my own. I came up with more ideas and it took shape somewhat differently from what I had expected. This is also sort of written in a diary way but I'm NOT writing Dear Diary so yeah. So I hope you enjoy. Bye.
Brianna's POV
I took a deep breath and smelled cinnamon. Yes. It was Sunday which is when we had french toast and went to church. I rolled out of bed and grabbed Rosie.
By the way I'm Five so that's why I'm carring a stuffed fox around with me. P.S. Her Name is Rosie
I got up and passed the rows and rows of empty beds. Now I know what you're probably thinking. Umm... are you that lonely orphan that never gets adopted and is forced to live with the owner. One, NO. There are other orphans here, and two I love the owner she it not Miss Hanigan. I kept walking until I got to Lillian's bed. I usually wake her up in the morning. She has curly hair and is a older then me by seven years. I lightly nudged her until she woke up.I walked down the row a little farther to see if Francis and Hadley had gotten up yet. They had. Francis and Hadley were best friends and had run away from tough conditions. Francis has blonde hair and is twelve years older then me. Hadley has wavy brown hair and is also twelve years older then me. I started to walk downstairs with Lillian close behind. As I was descending the stairs I could hear Miss Lulana and Francis talking. I waved at Hadley who was gathering french toast ingredients so they knew I had woken up. Then I went to the sun room which was filled with toys and things from when "Miss Lulana's Home For Girls" was bursting at the seams. It was in 2001 that most orphans were out on the street's. Miss Lulana would walk up and down the streets in her skirt and heels through piles of trash just so the kids could have a home and were able to eat. I sat down at the table and pulled over the sketchbook I got for Christmas last year. I decided that I would draw a land where fairies would live (especially my favorite Tinkerbell). Miss Lulana walked in and gave me a big hug. I said good morning and she told me that french toast was almost ready so I should come to the kitchen. We all sat down aroung the table in the bay window and enjoyed breakfast. After breakfast I went upsairs and got changed into a romper and sandals.
It was about an hour after church when things started to go wrong. Lillian had parents coming to see if they wanted to adopt her and Hadley and Francis had a couple that was willing to adopt them both so that they wouldn't have to seperate. I guess I should explain. Lets start with how I ended up here. I was one year old when I got dropped off Hadley, Lillian, and Francis were already there and were excited for a new orphan. I was left toddling around the front porch with a little box holding my mother's pointe shoes. Miss Lulana came out with the others to talk outside because the weather was nice. That's when they found me. Thy brought me inside and I've been here ever since. I learned Lillian's story this year. Once Lillian was born and then offered for adoption immediately. Her parents were in a bad place financially so they couldn't provide for her. No one in her town was in a position to adopt so they sent her here. She came here when she was just born so she's been here all of her life. Hadley and Francis came when they were ten. Miss Lulana was doing her usual after church, which was walking up and down alleyways to see if any orphans were there and would like a place to live. That's when she saw Francis being yelled at by a man and a woman holding Hadley back so she couldn't help her. Miss Lulana quickly grabbed Francis and Hadley and hid them behind her back. Then she questioned the people and called the police to arrest them for child abuse. They were gone in the next hour and Hadley and Francis went in to grab their things before while the police were searching the house. They moved in to the orphanage that night. Now they were all leaving and I was worried I would never see them again. Hadley and Francis promised they would Facetime me, call me, and then once I was relocated they would ask Miss Lulana for my family's phone number, and for permission to call me. Lillian said she would do the same and try to come over and visit when she could. I got lots of hugs and promises. They were all trying to give me so much before they left, but all I wanted was for them to stay.
a/n: Thank you for reading the chapter. This will be the start of my fourth book and I'm super excited about it. There will be lots of plot twists and good friends will be made. So please keep reading. Bye.
