10:00 pm
You sighed flipping your multi-subject binder closed. You knew you shouldn't have procrastinated on that homework from earlier in the week, and now you were paying for it. That was the only reason you were up so late on a school night. You packed up your backpack for the next day before heading to the bathroom and getting ready for bed, but as you were walking back into your room you could have sworn you saw a shadow swoop across the closed curtain of your window. You approached with caution. Obviously, you couldn't see much with your room lights being off, but once you saw a familiar silhouette you knew it would be ok. Quickly you rushed over to the window and moved the curtains, temporarily letting in the cool night breeze and filling your room with moonlight as you got a closer look.
"Hyunjin?"
You said in more of a confused manner. He smiled and let himself in, quietly closing the window behind him. As you made eye contact he pulled you towards him, your back pressed against the once open window as he placed a soft kiss on your lips. You welcomed him happily, before pulling away to catch your breath.
"You know I love your visits, but why are you here?"
You asked him.
"It's been so long, I just wanted to see you"
Was his answer. You sighed.
"You do realize that-"
"I know, and I know how much trouble we would be in if anyone found out. Trust me it was worth it for what I have to tell you"
He looked down at you excitedly with a contagious smile that forced you to smile back.
"I've been talking to our managers all week, and it took some convincing but I got it cleared...we don't have to sneak around anymore, we can go public!"
He said as his smile widened. Yours does the opposite as your eyes were suddenly more interested in looking down at your feet.
"Hyunjin..."
"Don't you get it? We don't have to hide anymore! No more late night dates and pretending we don't know each other in public. We can do all the stuff real couples do! It'll finally be normal!"
He waited for your reaction but you were silent. Confused he lifted your chin to him.
"That was supposed to be amazing news, why aren't you happy?"
You shook your head slowly as if doubting yourself before you even answered.
"I-I'm only a trainee Hyunjin...If we come out with our relationship my group would have hate before we even started. And how would your fans react? I'm sure the last thing you want is an angry fan base. We can't ok...we just can't.
He sighed frustratedly.
"You're so hung up on how everyone else would react, you don't even care that I just said we have permission to date normally...we're so lucky and that's how you want to treat it!"
"Our relationship will never be normal, you know that"
"Well it would have been nice to imagine it for once"
He snapped, clearly agitated.
"It's not a good idea, it's not worth the risk"
"So I'm not worth the risk"
He said, sounding more upset than anything.
"I'm not saying tha-"
"Really? Because it sounds like that's exactly what you're saying to me"
