Chenle Pt 2

This was supposed to come out a while ago, but I didn't like how I wrote it originally and deleted it.

(This is part 2 of the one where you're dating Lele and Lucas is trying to get at the reader, so if you don't remember that one you might want to read it again)

It had been a few weeks since the last time you saw Chenle in person, thus a few weeks since he issued a warning to Lucas. To you, everything seemed fine, but you weren't the one who had to live with him.

In the NCT dorms, an undeniable tension had filled the building, even though the members with beef were on two different floors. Chenle and Lucas were tense in every on camera China line interaction. Chenle didn't tell all the members what they were beefing about, so most of them only knew that one minute they were cool, and the next minute they couldn't even sit next to each other for five minutes.

A party to celebrate dreams recent win was being coordinated, and since they could bring guests, Chenle wanted so badly to bring you. Other members were bringing their significant others, but he didn't want to make you uncomfortable. That was exactly what he told you during your phone conversation a few days before.

"So what are you gonna do? Go by yourself?"

"I mean yeah, what else would I do?"

"Chenle I'm not letting you do that, I'll be fine"

You could hear him sigh on the other end of the phone.

"Are you sure? I don't want to put you in a difficult situation"

"I'll be with you the whole time, so it should be fine"

And here you were now, on the actual day, getting out the car with Chenle holding the door for you.

"Did I tell you how gorgeous you look?"

He spoke, as his hand came to rest on the small of your back while leading you inside. The dress you were wearing fit your body perfectly, highlighting your best features and accentuating them.

"Yes, but I wouldn't mind hearing it again"

You joked, making both of you laugh as you entered the house that was being rented out for the party. Everything was decorated nicely and there were congratulations for the dreamies all over. Music was blasting, people were dancing, and it was very obvious that this party would be a wild one. Chenle gathered a lot of attention as he walked in, considering he was one of the people this party was for. As he stopped for photos and videos, you decided you would go talk to Jisung's girlfriend so as not to disturb him. You knew her from school, and you were friends before you met either of them.

"Y/n!"

She waved excitedly from her place by the wall near the kitchen. You waved back and she got up to hug you before you both decided to go into the kitchen for a more quiet atmosphere to talk. After a few minutes of catching up and talking about school, you could feel eyes peeling into the back of your head. Usually Chenle would do that when he wanted your attention, but when you turned around, it definitely wasn't your boyfriend watching you from across the room, it was Lucas. You turned back around quickly, focusing on the conversation with your friend. Even she could tell that his unwavering gaze was starting to bother you.
