Letting Go

Now I must admit
Even though it's quite the risk
I was scared of leaving you
We were together for so long
And I knew we were wrong
But I couldn't stand to see you
Just leave out of the blue
I couldn't stand to live my life
If I didnt have you
But here you are happy and smiling
Holding hands with your new boo
You and her are doing all the things
That we use to do
Seeing this broke my heart
But it also made me learn
I cant keep holding on to you
As my independence begans to burn
