Jason x Wally

The diner

8:33pm was the time he got to the diner it was one of those retro diners out on the outskirts of town.

When Jason entered the bell sounded from atop of the door announcing his presence. When Jason looked around he saw the one person he didn't want to see the red headed ginger.

Jason sat down on one of the stools at the counter and watched Wally who was wearing an apron and taking orders from tables.

Wally noticed Jason looking at him and walked around to the other side of the counter opposite him.

"So Jason what brings you here?" Wally asked

"Well I lost my phone and Dick said it was here" Jason said trying to get through this as quickly as possible, with his dignity intact

Wally looked at him with a raised eyebrow "huge question did Dick act weird when he told you it was here?"

"He got.......angry and now I see what you mean.........he tricked me to come here because he knew you were here GOD DAMMIT" Jason said with realisation taking over his mind

"So........the only possible reason he would do that is because you were talking about me" Wally said with a smirk

"What of course not, I wasn't talking about you, we talked about the party but that was it" Jason said flustered

"The party were you got horny at because of the *alcohol*" wally said sarcastically

"Yeah the.......alcohol"

"Mmmm okay........so you want anything to eat while your here" Wally asked

"Umm what do you think I should get?"

"The tuna sandwich is really the only thing good here" Wally said with his arms crossed on the counter

"Then I'll have that" Jason said looking up at Wally realising how close he was

"Okay coming right up" Wally said before giving orders to the chef and taking orders to other tables. Leaving Jason sitting there to watch. When a girl came up to him.

"You two looked so cute together" she giggled out before leaving the diner

"Wait........were not.......dating" Jason tried to say to her then looked back and saw Wally give him his food

"Here's your food, and what was that about?" Wally asked curiously

"Nothing"

"Was she asking you out that's so cute, did you get her phone number?" Wally asked

"No"

"Why not? She seems your type sweet innocent....."

"MAYBE......I don't just want sweet and innocent!" Jason yelled but then spoke quietly noticing the weird looks people were giving him

"Okay then what is you type because I bet I could find you the perfect girl?"

"My type.......something more then sweet and innocent, like I want someone to call me out on my mistakes, who makes me laugh, who pushes my buttons, who's blunt, someone who isn't afraid to fight......someone who makes me........drop my guard down" Jason said looking back up but staring in Wally's eyes

"Well I girl like that would be hard to find but nothing is impossible right"

".......right" Jason said looking back down with a pink tint on his cheeks realising he was just describing the redhead that was in front of him.

Everything seemed calm when next thing everyone new a guy with a gun came in, pointing at everyone frantically.

"Nobody move, you red head give me everything in the cash register" the guy demanded looking at Wally

"Yeah fat chance"

"I have a goddamn gun, so don't test me kid" the guy yelled, getting angry

"Yeah but I work day in day out for this cash and I've got a death wish so you better be good shot because if you aren't I will jump over this counter and rip off your head" Wally said looking the guy straight in the eye with a smile

"Ummm okay fine, I will" the guy said pointing the guy at Wally's head

Jason was about to do something, not wanting anything bad to happen to the redhead but Wally waved him off

"Go head, shoot my brains out and watch them scatter everywhere"

"I.......I will" the guy said who was now shaking, with sweat running down his face.

"Your not going to shot me because A) this is your first time doing a robbery, B) because you have no bullets in your gun and C) is because your a good person who just having a bad day.......so out of the kindness of my heart don't make it worse and you can leave here without the police coming to pick you up and making a bad an even worse day" Wally spoke with his hand out waiting for they guy to place the gun in his hands.

The guy looked at him with tears coming down his face and slowly placed the gun in his hand and ran out of the diner. Everyone started to cheer Wally on, when the shock left their systems.

"Okay, free drinks for everyone........nice job kid but try not to risk your life" the manger said with relief, taking the gun to put somewhere safe, away from people

Wally looked back over to Jason, whose mouth was open in shock

"Dude are you insane?! How did you know he didn't have bullets?" Jason asked puzzled

"I didn't" Wally replied

"How'd you know that he wouldn't shoot you?"

"I didn't, Jason it's called having faith in people to do the right thing" Wally said putting his hand on top of Jason's shaking one and looking him in the eye for a minute watching his breathing slow to same pace as the redheads

"now eat your sandwich, I've got tables to serve" Wally said letting go and went back to his job

Jason ate the tuna sandwich which wasn't bad and wasn't good at the same time. When he was done he looked back at Wally who was at one of the tables talking to people who made him laugh.

When Wally glanced at him and smiled which made Jason look away but he felt a warm feeling in his chest that he couldn't tell what it was in the end he just thought it was the food. Wally came up to him five minutes later.
