"Chan I love you,"

Chan sat there, silent yet shocked to hear my words. He only stood like a statue, glaring at me with perfect stillness. As the minutes pass by, I start to become impatient.

"You're kidding, right?" Chan plainly asks, his mouth agape. This boy clearly has no brain. I typically thought that vampires should be the slightest but the most intelligent, but not when it comes to Chan. He's literally stupid, but actually has the brain when the time is right. But his stupidity clearly didn't time it right this time. Poor boy must have been dying for human blood.

"Chan, you really think I'm kidding right now-!" I was cut off by Chan's swift movements. He caught both of my wrists as I fell to the ground, both my hands pinned above my head. I was completely vulnerable under him, but I didn't care. The pure bliss of being with Chan made me feel whole. As if I really needed him for the rest of my life. But I wasn't immortal, like Chan.

Chan stares hungrily into my eyes, his eyebrows knitted together, and the serious expression took over his beautiful face. His sudden actions made me become uncomfortable, and scared. What if Jihyo was lying to me? What if Jihyo misunderstood Chan's feelings? Doubts started to fill my head, and started to eat me away.

"Babygirl, Jihyo can read feelings and manipulate them. Of course she's not lying," Chan reassures as he went down to kiss my neck. His kisses were delicate as he started from my collarbone up to my jawline, and took in my scent as I sensed that he was starving.

He delicately moves my hair out of the way to take in more of my scent, and kept kissing my neck until he found my sensitive spot. I shivered once he located it, and he misses that spot one last time until he slowly sunk his razor sharp fangs into it. I didn't know how to feel. Although it could be painful, it was enjoyable at the same time. I could feel Chan sucking my blood out of pure bliss, and he let go of my trapped wrists. As my hands went free, they went straight to touching his surprisingly soft hair. The feeling of his hair made me forget the pain, and this is where my heart started to beat out of my chest.

Suddenly, Chan takes out his fangs from my soft skin and starts to cough. The pure feeling that I just felt went away. The spot where Chan bit me started to burn, but it wasn't that bad. I ignored it, and focused my concern more to Chan. Chan sat up as he started to look like he was about to die. My heart raced faster than the wind, and I didn't know what to do.

"Chan!" I yelled his name, but it looked like he ignored me. Suddenly, Chan collapses and tears started to shed from my eyes.

Damnit! I shouldn't have let him taste my blood! But what was wrong with my blood?

Suddenly, a voice in my head was heard.

"You foolish girl," the voice chuckles. A woman. "You simply think that you're a human? Well you're wrong! In reality, you're a demon! A monster! I made you this way. The demon blood that runs in your veins is absolute poison! It can kill your beloved vampire in under twenty-four hours! Beware, as your whole life is ruined. As you see, you have to marry your true love before you are twenty-one. If you fail to do that, then you're going to become one of the satan souls I cursed you with. My most powerful demon soul lies within you. And you seem like you're out of time, sweetheart, as your birthday lies soon after your pathetic wedding!"

Tears started to flow down my cheeks as my heart broke. The thought of having me being the reason that Chan is dying hurt me. I'll hate myself forever. And I need to fix this. But how should I? The truth came around and slapped me out of no fucking where!

"Y/n!" I hear a familiar voice behind me. My eyes, filled with tears, turned to the direction where the voice came from. I see Jisung and Jihyo running towards the two of us, and the looks on their faces were full of concern.

Jisung stops in front of my vulnerable figure as Jihyo came to Chan's aid. Jisung got down on one knee as he cupped my face with both of his hands, and looked me in the eyes. His eyes travel down to look at my neck. The look on his face was priceless.

"Your.. neck... it's.. healing itself??"Jisung freaks out, and looks over to Jihyo. Jihyo looks back at Jisung, and Jisung furrowed his brows.

"Y/n, did you hear a voice?" Jisung asked me, his expression serious to where it scared me. The numb feeling I felt.. it's just pointless to feel anything right now. Not even the bite on my neck.

"Yes," I mutter, staring off into space while tears kept on running down my cheeks.

"What did that fucking witch say....." he mutters off, and helps my trembling figure up. He turns to look at Jihyo, and Chan is being carried over her shoulder. Jihyo was carrying Chan so effortlessly, while I effortlessly let Chan die. God, why am I such a fool?

It's been a few hours.

Chan's heart is still beating, which is good, but he hasn't awaken yet. I sat on a chair beside Chan's bed. We couldn't take Chan to a hospital, because people there didn't know how to heal him since Chan isn't human. Gladly, though, Jihyo and another person knows how to tend to Chan, but sadly, they can't find a cure.

And you may be wondering; who the fuck is this other person?

Well, his name is Kang Brian. And yes, another fellow vampire. But, he's also a quite strange wizard. Technically speaking, his father was a wizard while his mother was a doctor. Both his parents were vampires as well, and they raised quite much of a talented boy.

Anyways, it's just me and Chan in Chan's bedroom. I still feel the powerful guilt pulling me down as I fought back my tears. I felt numb, and I didn't want to cry. Chan looked paler, even paler than Jihyo. His already dark eye bags became even more darker. His sweet lips weren't full of color. His body was rapidly deteriorating. Yet he was still breathing. I was glad about that.

Curiously, I pressed my head against his chest. I closely listen for a heartbeat, and wondered if there was a heart beating in a cold body like his. And to my surprise, it was beating. This is quite odd. Vampires don't have hearts. They're just cold creatures who are bloodthirsty.

Bloodsuckers.

"You know, Vampires do have hearts babygirl," I hear a beautiful voice. "Their hearts beat once they've found somebody to love." My head went up from Chan's.

"Impossible..." I mutter as I look at Chan in the eye.

Chan smiles, and I smile back.

But yet, it all didn't seem real.

I opened my eyes, with tears in them.

Chan is gone.
