Chapter 24

I empty out the liquor in the sink and went back to the bedroom. Alexander still haven't return and am starting to get worried feeling even more guilty.

I exit the bedroom and enter the baby's room he wasn't there and neither the baby which freaks me out.

Where's my baby??

I checked Suzie's room I let out a sigh of relief when I saw Suzie playing with Sara as she giggles loudly.

As I enter the room Sara looks at me with her bright eyes and happily smile at me making cute sounds.

"There's mommy" Suzie coo.

I smile and took her up in my arms as she jumps excitedly I kiss her cheek.

"Have you seen Alexander?" I asked Suzie.

She shook her head "No but I saw the Jacob guy he came to check up on Sara" she said slightly blushing.

I laughed knowing that look "Someone has a crush " I teased and she turns bright tomato red.

"No I don't!" she denied while her face said otherwise.

I laugh "If you say so" I said.

She roll her eyes blushing hard.

I put on a cartoon for Sara after giving her a bath.

I place her down on the furry mat in front the television with her favourite teddy bear and her bottle of milk.

She sat there silently as her eyes focus on the cartoon.

Tomorrow am supposed to take her to the hospital for a check up.

I sigh as I stared at the silver clock hanging from the wall.

7pm

I heard Sara giggles I look at her she was staring at me instead of the television.

"Are you laughing at me baby?" I asked although I know she can't replied.

She giggles again crawling towards me I got up and pick her up then twirl around with her in my arms she laughed.

I kissed her cheek "Why are you laughing at mommy huh" I said taking a seat on the mat.

She look up at me with her bright eyes as she raise her tiny hands and touch my nose.

I took her hands and kiss her tiny fingers she giggles jumping in my arms.

I laugh "Your so cute" I coo and she giggles again.

The door suddenly open and Alexander walks in emotionless.
"Where were you?" I asked.

He ignores me and went inside the bathroom.

I got up holding Sara on my hip I went towards the bathroom and stood at the doorway.

He turn off the tap and dry his face with the towel. Sara tug on my blouse making loud sounds as she jumps excitedly.

"Alexander?" I said.

He walk pass me entering the bedroom.

I sigh "Am sorry" I apologized.

He sat on the bed and remove his shirt. Then finally look up at me "Sorry for what Ria?" he asked.

"For the way I behave earlier" I stated.

He doesn't said anything he lean back on the head board and switch the channel.

I place Sara on the bed and she crawl towards Alexander with an adorable smile on her face.
